ANOTHER BUSY DAY!~

I took Lynn and Joyce to\
THE SILVER SWEETHEARTS luncheon this morning and they had a couple of brothers teaching us how to be safe!
It was actually really interesting.

They used a dummy to show us things that we could do if attacked.

This brother had a bag and said if you have a bag of groceries, pull out a can of beans and hit the perp in in the face!!

AND HE DID! lol

He also had a small pumpkin he used!!

Then he showed us how to use our hands and what to go for! The eyes, throat, nose!

It was fun to watch these guys!

They even showed us on each other.

It was a good program. Hope I never have to use the information! lol

The luncheon is always well attended. It was all about apples this time. We had chicken apple salad on a leaf of lettuce with a crescent roll. Followed by an apple cake!

It was a good day!

When I got done dropping off the women off, I went home and mowed our lawn. Tony had already done Joyce's and was at Lynn's when I dropped her off. I took some photo's of my plants. The hydrangeas are turning a pretty pink ,now that the weather is cooling off at night.

The succulents are filling in so well. I hope they double next year!!

The marigolds are coming out next week when we get home from Utah. We threw out some of the potted plants today.

The Begonia's are about shot as well.

I enjoyed the summer while it lasted .
BUT, I love the Fall so bring it on!!

This evening I went to Relief Society and it was Paint Night.

It was so well attended. We did a tree painting .....I had to hurry because I told Tony to pick me up at 7:30 because I have to get ready for leaving in the morning.....so

this is my painting!  lol  BIG FAIL!~  but it was fun. I left the church
at 7:30 thinking Tony was waiting in the parking lot. He wasn't so I started walking and called Tony. He was at Tammy's and said he would be on his way. I almost made it to Horton and he finally showed up. We went to fill the car with gas and then came home and showered and finished packing. Now, we're watching
THE VOICE and then heading for bed.
