Got to do one of my favorite things 1st off this morning. We served at the temple and we were veil coordinators. I love being in the temple and doing something my Savior would be proud of.
The absolute best way to start off my 72nd birthday! The session's were fairly small today so we got released at 10:30. We went home, changed and got ready to go out to the shooting range.
Before leaving, I got a purse (with gum) and a card ready for Janel Stears. Her birthday is on Tuesday but I'm going to give it to her tomorrow at church because we will be getting ready to leave and I'm afraid I'll run out of time.
We then headed out to Pickle Butte.
It was a good turnout. We had some of 12th ward join us.
The weather was PERFECT! Seriously!
It couldn't have been nicer!
We both ate a small sandwich and a bottle of water.
We didn't dare eat too much as we were invited to the Dickerson's for dinner & games.
Shantel & Tom were good shooters!
Brother Miller (our High Councilman was there as well)
Brother Cling was more than happy to help all the younger kids. Tyler had a great time!
Tom and Shantel had fun shooting their pistols as well as a rifle.
Brandon and Chad just sitting and enjoying watching until it was their turn!
The 12th ward had some younger kids.
Shantel was a little Annie Oakley!
Tom was shooting two at a time!
Two much fun!
Two, two, two shots in one! lol
It was fun to watch. He offered to let us give it a try but I just wasn't feeling it today! lol
Brother Cling with Jennifer Gilbert's son! This little guy shot all kinds of guns. Even a semi automatic!!
Brandon and Chad setting up some targets way out there!
Then Chad shot and hit it a couple of times!
Brandon was amazing!! He pinged it every time!!
Jennifer and her son. She had quite the arsenal!
At least 6 guns of her own!
Around 2:30, Tony and I decided to leave. We took Tyler home and then went to Costco for a prescription refill for Tony. while he was in Costco, I walked over to Michael's to see if their paper was still on sale! It was so I got $20 dollars worth. Then we went to the Dickerson's for dinner.
After dinner, we played GOLF. This is Ken and his mother Elizabeth.
This is Ken & Effie.
This is Terry and Tony! We had BBQed chicken, biscuits, shrimp salad and a jello salad for dinner. It was all very tasty. After we played 9 rounds of Golf (and Effie kicked our butts royalty) She pulled out the dessert. It was a chocolate pudding cake. SO GOOD!~ Then Tony and I left. We had time to go back to Michaels for more paper. The sale ends tomorrow and we don't shop on Sunday so Tony said I could get more because it was such a good deal. Normally $6.99 a package of 50 and they were 60% off so I got 3 packages for $9.99. I ended up getting $50 bucks worth! I was running low so it was a great birthday present. He also got me a new pillow. Well, he was going to get it but it was to arrive when we are gone next week so he's getting it for me when we get back from Utah. It was a great day. Jan Poulsen brought me a pan of peanut butter rice krispie treats covered in chocolate! She's so sweet. I got tons of birthday wished on the Facebook and texts. Cards from my family and lots of love from kids!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!~

Sounds like it was a great birthday! Wow, I haven't seen Ken and Effie in so long I didn't recognize him. I recognized Effie though. I love that quote you posted about Jesus Christ!
