TEMPLE SERVICE & BLOCK PARTY PREP

We only did one session today because Tony and I had to finish preparing for our Block Party (which will be tomorrow at 4PM) The Poulsen's were going to go with us but Jan had a sister come to town to visit as well as her daughter Ashley.
It was a super full session as a young man a a young lady
took out their endowment.

It  was so comfortable when we left to go.
The temp was in the high 50ties.

It was high 80's when we got out and got up to 91
or so before the day was over.  We decided to stop at
THE DAIRY QUEEN
for a chicken basket on the way home and low and behold, Ray Bingham was there having lunch!

We sat by him and visited about his travels. He was the man who built all our cabinets and our entertainment center when we 1st moved into our home.

He was divorced and had married a woman who he met at the Rec Center.  we use to get together with them for dinners and visiting. Evidently, she was just using him and he paid for her schooling and then she left him. SO SAD!

He sold his home and has traveled to Mexico, and the Philippines and stays for months at a time. He is home until October 3rd and is then going back. He has a little apartment there with just the basic's for living. He loves it.  I invited him to come to our
"LINGER LONGER"
this coming Sunday after church. I hope he comes. There are a lot in the ward who would like to see him. I wanted to get pictures of us all with him and there was a man there who offered to take our pictures!
BLESS HIS HEART!

When we got home, we got busy cleaning up our patio, and patio furniture. I got out the hose and the power nozzle  and Tony hooked up the Power washer. I used the hose on the chairs and the table and got the table all dried off.

I was using the squeegee for a while and tried to get the water off the patio. We decided to let it dry and then we'll blow off what's left.

Lynn called and so Tony was on the phone for a while so I picked up the power washer and used it too. We got the 3 picnic tables put out and checked them at 4 o'clock to strategically place then so they would be shaded. We really don't want to have to put up the canopies if we don't have to. The less work the better. lol

We may have to adjust accordingly!
At least the yellow Begonia's bloomed nicely for the party!
Not so much on the red ones! lol
We came in and had to run to Winco for some chard to wrap the meat in.  We came home and Tony prepared the meat. I decided to do the souffle' tomorrow because I don't have a lot of room left in the fridge right now.  Tony had his book (with the recipe for the Kalua Pork)  and it is also filled with all the invitations we've sent out in the past. (Minus a couple I didn't save)  Now, it's getting close to bedtime. 7PM is it on Friday nights cuz we work at the temple 1st thing in the morning. SO, we are as prepared as we're gonna be.
Hope it's a successful party!
