ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY

Tony and I served in the temple this morning. It was a wonderful day and the rumor was that there were going to be some 

"SPECIAL VISITORS" 

sometime during the day. It was Elder Uchtdorf and Elder Gong. They didn't come while we worked and we would have loved to stay but we had to get home to get ready for our Block Party! 

It would have been GREAT to have met them there! Will have to hear about it next week!

We prepped the meat and got it in the oven by noon. It was done at 2:30 so we pulled it apart and put it in the crock pot to keep it warm. I got the sweet potato souffle' in and it was done around 3:30. Our party started at 4. We didn't have the turnout we'd hoped for but it was OK. We started with what we had.

This is Jossylynn. Different spelling but that's how she spells it.  She has been to our house to play along with Aaron's little boy. She found a Praying Mantis and she claims it is a female and it's pregnant. 

Could be!  I don't know but she let it go in my Quintz plants so if I find a bunch of Manti's soon, I'll know she was right! lol

On the left is Shawn, Suzette & Tony and on the right is Dean and Patrick. Patrick's fiancé was still at work unfortunately!

This is Brad Cook and Beth Childers. She is on my Ministering beat so I was so glad to meet her. She has MS and is not out and about very much. So glad they both came!

This is Robert, Amy and their 2 daughters, Jossylynn and Jessica. Really nice little family. 

This is Patrick (Our next door neighbor.) He is a sweet guy!

It was a good party. We were expecting more but we take what we can get. It was nice to have some new faces along with some regulars. I'm just happy it's over & we can rest!
