SATURDAY

We were so excited to head to the Conference Center on Saturday. We got up and ate a slice of toast and some fresh pineapple (thank you Deb) and then we left. We found a place to park on the street outside a parking lot that was charging $30 dollars. We parked and started walking to the conference center. It was a good three blocks away. I found this cool green prickly ball and I had to pick it up and save it!!  They checked my purse on the way in and probably thought I was crazy!! lol  It's a chestnut inside it's husk!

I'm kinda weird about cool nature things!

We had GREAT seats in the center. We saved two for Colby and Cindy who were not there yet. 

The choir that was going to sing in the afternoon session were practicing. They sounded wonderful.

We got a picture as people were coming in! People are so nice to do that. We reciprocate so there's that! lol

The session was so good. It is awesome to be there and hear it in person. We enjoyed it so much! We got a gal to take our picture as we were leaving when it was all over. 

Colby and Cindy wanted to go to dinner so we headed over to the City Creek mall are in downtown SLC. 

It was incredible to see all the scaffolding around the Salt Lake City Temple. They are doing so much work on it and it is going to be able to withstand the winds and earthquakes when it it finished.  Colby & Cindy wanted to go to the CHEESE CAKE Factory for dinner but it was going to be a couple of hour wait. We went down town a little further and went to an Italian Restaurant and we were told it would be 20 minutes.  We waited and waited and Cindy went up and asked how much longer because people were going in a head of us. The gal told her she had to seat all the people who made reservations 1st and it had already been 30 plus minutes!!  SO, we headed over to the food court and went to CHICK FIL A. lol  Tony was thrilled!! We ate and then Colby had to go back to work. He's a behind the scene guy at the Conference Center  and this is a BIG WEEKEND for him.  We walked to our car and said goodbye to Colby and then we drove Cindy to her car and we headed back to Deb's to call it a day!
