TUESDAY, A SLOW DAY!~

Last night before bed, I finished up the purses I'd cut out to make while here in Astoria. There were 19 of them so that will keep my RS birthdays ready for a few months. I bought some things to put in them before we left for Oregon so I'm prepared now. Once Mom went to bed last night, Tony took his shower and then we read our scriptures. He went to sleep in the bed and I came out to the recliner. I read a couple of chapters in my book
"DECEPTION POINT"
by Dan Brown. It's quite a nail biter.
Mom got up later this morning than usual. It was after nine am. She came out in her jammies and house coat. I got her breakfast ready and she ate and then went to her chair.

I put out a new Conference talk and a new chapter in the scriptures and she read them right away! She picked up her crocheting and worked on it most of the morning. She went to take a nap at about noon or so and Tony took off to go to the store. We needed more milk and napkins. I asked him to pick up some more yarn for me at Walmart and some nail polish remover.

Mom has a curling iron made by Revlon and it's bigger than mine. I like the way it turns the ends of my hair under so I asked Tony to see if he could find me one. He looked on Amazon and found it but it was $35 dollars so he was going to check Walmart and Ross just in case it was there and cheaper.  I sat down to reading my book again while Mom slept and Tony shopped. When Mom got up I asked her if she was hungry. She said she wanted a peanut butter & Jam sandwich and a glass of milk. Easy Peasy. I got it done and she sat in her chair and ate while watching some TV. (At least trying to watch TV) When Tony got home, we warmed up the remainder of the Flauta's we got from COSTCO. Then we watched 4 episodes of HEARTLAND!  Love that show!! Later this evening, we heard from Donna and she said Eric finally called them. He and Jill got married on Sunday. Donna and Jack are so happy! They have lived together for 17 years and finally tied the knot. He see's a doctor on Thursday to see what t he next step is with his brain tumor!

Mom got up and used the restroom and then headed to her room. I followed her in and she was confused as to where she was. She said she was trying to get back to her chair. I decided to write her a note about Eric & Jill and she was so happy about that. Then she said she wanted me to have a couple of her knit dishcloths. She apologized because they are not straight but honestly, I think they are amazing! Afterall, she is 101!! It was a quiet day but a good day!
