MOM, IN HER NEW HOME

Will Tony and I trying to get Mom in Will's car for the ride to Portland. Will's working her from the backside and Tony and I are in front. Mom is freaking out because she thinks we are going to left her fall.  NO WAY would we do that!!

Charcie took a picture and then I lifted her legs into the car and got her buckled in!

It was so beautiful and sunny in Astoria when we left. Mom said it was too bright. So Will gave her a pair of his sunglasses! He's such a character!  He's got his Elvis sneer going in this one.

Mom passed out quickly so Will imitated her! I laughed so hard when I saw this!! TOO FUNNY!~

Mom seated in her new recliner with all her mail to read. I was writing her a note and Will took this picture. You can see her room pretty well. Her small bed, her recliner and two end tables. At the foot of her bed is her dresser and TV on the wall!

Her own private bathroom directly across the hall from her room. A walk in shower, sink and toilet.  It's so perfect for her!!  There's even a hose on the wall between her sink and the toilet that has constant warm water to wash off her lady parts if needed.

It was so funny. Will was helping us get Mom settled and all of a sudden she looks at him and says, "Will, you're here too"?  It was hilarious because she rode with Will in his car! We all got a good laugh out of that one1

It was so nice that her Picture frame is right beside her because she can see it up close and personal. We got her knitting right beside her, just like at Ricks home.  We got our picture with her and then I gave her all her mail so we slip out with out any incident. However, Alexandra came in and told her that her lunch was ready. She is so sweet with Mom and had her look at her and then said follow me. Mom, did pretty well following her to the table.

Alexandra is the sweetest little lady. She is from Romania and is kind and compassionate. She is going to be great for Mom.

She got Mom seated at the table.

Then her helper (wish I could remember her name) went to get her lunch. She got a chicken salad sandwich, little grape tomatoes and an INSURE drink.

Mom asked, "Is is blessed"?  Alexandra said no it wasn't so Mom bowed her head and prayed. It was so beautiful! She asked Heavenly Father to bless the food to nourish and strengthen her, and and then she asked Him to bless her to get used to her new home. I lost it and started to cry. After she finished, Alexandra crossed herself. (She's a Catholic) When she turned to me, she had tears in her eyes too. It was so touching. Mom has a new mission. She will be such a great example to these other women.
BLESS HER HEART!~
It took me a while to control my emotions after we left. I talked to Jeff and he is planning to go to see her on Tuesday. I am so grateful to him for that. She is going to do fine as soon as she gets used to the layout. We all plan to write her a lot. This was one of the hardest things I've ever done but I am grateful for my time with her.
Some memories I will treasure ALWAYS!~

Heather got that right. We had a
 good cry on the phone.
