OH WHAT A NIGHT!!

Yesterday, Mom was sweet but very quiet. She isn't eating as much as usual. For instance her breakfast! She's only eating most of her oatmeal but not finishing it.

She took a nap fairly early in the day and slept for quite a while.

When she got up, she got to knitting again. She's bound and determined to finish that ball of yarn before she moves! Teri told me that the Custard King was closed for the time being. We looked it up and they are closed for the holidays. SO, we said we would buy our lunch at The Bow Picker and they are going to reimburse me when we get home. (My sister's in the Relief Society wanted to buy us lunch for Christmas)  So SWEET!~ SO, Tony went and got us lunch at 2 in the afternoon. Mom ate her fish & chips good so that was great! Then she sat and watched a little TV with us and knit.  Once when Mom was in the restroom, I needed to use the bathroom really bad, so I went up to the main floor. Little Diana was crying and saying "MOM, MOM"  so I went out and she was right outside the bathroom door crying her little eyes out. I picked her up and she snuggled into my shoulder. We sat in a chair and I soothed her and then her parents came in with a big box !
  THE CHRISTMAS TREE!
They had just run out to the shed to get it and Diana wasn't happy about them leaving. lol Charcie said they were struggling to get things ready for Christmas so I told her Tony and I would wrap gifts. She was thrilled! My back was aching a bit but we stood at the kitchen table and got busy!
We got all of Santa's gifts wrapped in a beautiful blue and silver paper. Very elegant.

Then we started wrapping gifts from Mom and Dad and the gifts the kids bought each other.

Almost done......

AND, Whala!! Charcie was so grateful to get the help. Mom watched us wrap, and then she was tired and wanted to go to bed at 8. I helped her get ready for bed and I was grateful it didn't take too long because my back was really starting bother me. I told Tony that I was going to take a hot shower. Afterwards, he put Ben Gay on my back. I was feeling nauseous. I asked Tony if he would sleep in the recliner so I could lay flat in the bed. He did but I couldn't get comfortable in the bed. I needed to get up and walk around. Then it hit me.
I'M PASSING ANOTHER KIDNEY STONE!!
I went to the living room and told Tony. I asked if he would give me a blessing, which he did. Then I prayed for a couple of hours to "Please heal me, I need to be healthy to care for Mom." I got sick to my stomach and threw up all of the Bow Picker!!  It tastes so much better going down than up!! I sat on the toilet frequently and I think I passed it because I was able to relax. I still didn't sleep well. Only a little over 3 hours but I still feel so much better than I did last night.  Around 3am I heard Mom , she said, "Laverne, is that you?   Laverne? so I got off the chair and went in and touched her shoulder. She took my hand and held it for a while. I stroked her forehead and asked if she was OK. She asked me what time it was so I got her clock and showed her. "It's only 3 in the morning?" she said, and I shook my head yes. She said "Oh Brother" and went back to sleep.  I heard her get up at 6:15 this morning so I got up and made her breakfast while she dressed. I had her new washed clothes at the end of her bed. I waited and waited and then went to check on her. She'd gone back to bed and was asleep again.
Didn't get up till 9. lol  Wished I'd slept that good!

After feeding her, I washed her hair in the sink. She had taken a shower yesterday when Charcie was bring down all the gifts to wrap.

I told her then that I'd wash her hair and cut it today. She was happy about that. She's all ready to go. Tony loaded all her things in the truck, except for the items she uses tonight and tomorrow morning. We'll pack them in the morning. Alexandra (the owner of the home) called me this morning with some last minute questions and some instructions. I told her, we'd decided NOT to bring her commode in her room because we thought it would be too crowded. She told me to bring it! She wants everything as close to normal as possible for her. She is so sweet. Rick and I talked this morning and they made it to Bend Oregon yesterday. They are going to Portland today and stopping in to the home and taking care of all the paperwork and payment. They will stay in Portland tonight possibly. We don't want Mom to see him too soon because she will think she can come home. They will go in a few weeks to see her. Alexandra told me that she has already received a lot of mail for Mom so, A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE WRITTEN TO HER!  It is going to be a BIG help! Tomorrow is going to be hard, but we all know it is for the best!
