Lynn called last night and asked if I had any wedding cards for todays reception. I did not. I told her I would make some today and forgo going to the gum. SO, Tony got up and went to his doctor appointment at 7:45 and I got busy.
It was snowing pretty good and I really didn't want to go out in it ...YET!~
So, after Tony left, I hit the craft room. I got out my "GOOD" paper and some dies and went to town. Tony called me after his doctor appointment to let me know he'd heard from the dermatologist and they said the biopsy they took last week was benign.
THATS GOOD!! Then he said he was on his way to the gym to work out. I was on card #2 at that time. I had to make 2 for me and 2 for Lynn but then I went ahead and made some extra so she could choose which two she wanted.
The 1st six were done but I decided I needed more! I was on a roll!
I got a total of ten done by the time Tony got home. I took the two big ones on the left because I put pockets in them for the money. I didn't buy a gift and just went with money.
It's not extravagant but it's on silver glitter paper and I put rhinestones on the bride.
It's a gatefold card and the inside has a pocket with a card in it with the message and we also put in cash!
Ya have to untie the silver thread and then there is a pocket in it too with a greeting and some cash! When Tony got home, we went out and shoveled our driveway and sidewalk and also Patrick's next door. Then we went to Costco to get the RSV shot and a few groceries. We came home to eat a salad for lunch and out again to shovel Aunt Joyce's driveway and sidewalk. We came in and showered and got ready for the reception at 6PM.
We picked up Joyce & Lynn and headed to the Smith building. Christie Watson did such a GREAT JOB on the decorations and the food! MAN, can I just say she is multi talented!!
This was at the entrance to the church in the lobby.
BEAUTIFUL!!
The gym was sectioned off. She had this for
taking pictures of the couples!!
The tables and chairs were so UP TOWN!!
She had this BIG window that had pictures of the kids.
It was so classy!
It was so classy!
This BIG bar wood panel was at the entrance to the gym. Again, pictures of the two couples and some awesome signs!
So good to see the HAPPY KIDS again!!
Marriage suits them!
Melissa looks beautiful in her 3rd classy dress! She had one for each occasion! I told her she's gonna have to go on some pretty fancy dates to get some good use out of them! lol
The DJ was the kids seminary teacher. He did a good job!
Livie was so cute!! She'll be the next one to go on her Mission. She's already working on her papers.
Here is the 2nd Happy couple!! Blake & Grace have been married a month longer than Joe & Ellie.
GOOD KID'S~
The two HAPPY COUPLE's!
UP CLOSE & PERSONAL!~
Dinner was provides by Christy as well and it was
COSTA VIDA COMPARABLE!!
SO DELICIOUS!
Dessert was Key Lime Pie puddings! They were to die for!
The kids cutting their cakes!!
They were both delicious too! I'll tell ya, all this good food wasn't too good for my diet!! Worth it though! lol
We sat at the table with Martina and her husband and Margie ! Both gym goers and friends of Melissa's. We see them both frequently at the Rec Center. Margie is an instructor too.
Got a picture of Melissa with them as well!
Once people were finished eating, the dancing started!! It was fun to watch them get their boogie on!!
Even Lynn got out there with them on the fast songs. Tony and I did dance to a couple of slow songs. I was afraid I'd wet my pants if I did the fast ones. Funny but not funny! lol
Anna had fun dancing with the older girls. She did the splits!! Didn't see any of the older girls doing that!! lol
Linda (another Gym friend of Melissa's) came as well. I see her at the gym and at the temple on occasion. She is such a go getter at the gym! She can walk faster than anyone I know.
And Rebecca and her husband came as well. She's another gym goer. It's fun to see them all in a different setting. It was such a fun night. We stayed up later than we normally do on a Friday night but we were glad to be able to spend time with the family at such a momentous occasion.

I'm glad to see all of these pictures since we couldn't be there. Boo snow storms! I recognize all of those gym goer friends. Is Ana in dance or gymnastics? Wow! We so wish we could have been there. We didn't make the decision until Thursday morning but I'm glad we didn't get stuck driving on those treacherous roads. I sure hope there won't be any more family weddings in the winter.
I know what you mean Deedra!! It's been snowing since 11 this morning and it's still coming down. Not sure if we'll have church canceled tomorrow. I'm glad you didn't try and traverse the roads. Better safe than sorry!! Anna is in Young Women's now and she had a great time dancing with the older girls but I don't think she's in dance. She's very athletic and nimble.
