As mentioned in the last post, church was canceled today due to SNOW!!
So I went out around 9, and started to shovel! It was so deep that I didn't get very far! The walk to the front of the house was about it!
Tony finally got out and got the snow blower going. I held the cord so he doesn't get tangled up in it and so he doesn't run over it.
It went so much faster with the blower. Ours is electric and our neighbor Shawn bought a battery operated one. Tony wonder's if we should get a battery operated one now. lol
Either way, it works great! Tony had to shed his coat. He said he was getting hot! lol Our hands froze though!! Even with gloves on!
We got our driveway done and then Aunt Joyce came out on her porch and told us she had breakfast made for us. We went over and had waffles, eggs, bacon, and oranges & bananas! It was GOOD!~
We told her that we were going to the BIRCH BUILDING to see Scott put in as the 1st counselor in the Bishopric of the 40th Ward in the North Stake. We would do her driveway when we got home.
Scotts ward was canceled due to snow as well but they went ahead and put it on ZOOM for the ward and then those who were released and the new ones put in showed up. Scotts best friend since grade school (Mac Wrigley) came from Meridian. It was funny. Mac was put in as Executive Secretary years ago and right after, Scott was put in as Executive Secretary. Then Mac was put in as Elder's Quorum President and then Scott was put in as Elder's Quorum President. Then Mac was made 1st Counselor in his wards Bishopric and now Scott has been put in as 1st counselor in a new Bishopric. Scott told Mac to give him the heads up if he's put in as Bishop so they can move. lol It was GREAT to see Mac!!
Love those two boys!!
It was a great meeting! The Spirit was strong! Afterwards I got pictures of Jill, Scotlyn and Scott! I had text my siblings and my kids with the link. Rick & Wendy and Donna and Jack watched it and commented after the meeting. I appreciated that.
Tony was able to stand in as well when they set Scott apart ,and he was happy about being asked to participate. We came home after the meeting and picked up Aunt Joyce and went over to Lynn's for some soup and rolls. Then Tony gave us the Sacrament. That was special.
We came home and I got the bread ready to bake that I was making for Jenni's birthday today! While it was baking, I went over to help Tony with Aunt Joyce's driveway.
Then we came home and Tony started taking the snow off the roof partway up so we don't get ice dams!
There was quite a bit up there!!
Now ya see him, now ya don't! lol
I got the bread out of the oven and packaged up with a jar of jam. Now I need Tony to drive me to Jenni's house. but he's still hard at it!
He's working on the back of the house now!
It was a special day. Hard work and Special Blessings with Scott being sustained. I'm sure proud of my boy!

That's a lot of snow! It reminds me of Snowmageddon/Snowpocolipse from 2017. How exciting to have Scott put in as 1st counselor in the bishopric, and super cool about his friend getting the same callings right before he did. I laughed when he said for his friend to give him a heads up if he became bishop so he could move. LOL That bread looks delicious and just like the loaf of bread that was given to me on my birthday!
