Last night, Tony was asked to sub at the Temple this morning at 11 till two. I was so glad BECAUSE, today was supposed to be our Gym day to do the walk, elliptical and do weights. I know we need it BUT my house seems to go by the wayside when I take 3 hours out of my day everyday to workout. Granted, on the day we just walk, it's not that long but I have other responsibilities that I have to do and my house suffers! For instance yesterday.... the Silver Sweethearts and my visit with the Sisters, not to mention making us something to eat for breakfast and lunch. It all takes time!! So I was excited to have him gone for several hours today so I can WORK AT HOME!!
I began by stripping my bed to wash the sheets. I also took all the towels and bathmats down to wash them. We ate a quick breakfast and before he left, I swept the kitchen floor and got a mop bucket ready to go. Tony took off at 10 and I got busy!! I took all the chairs into the living room and did a through mopping of the kitchen and pantry. I had a load of wash in and it was ready for the dryer by the time I got to the bathroom. I mopped the laundry room / bathroom and then moved up to the two bathrooms upstairs.
While the floor were drying, I went into my craft room and put a quick card together for Valentines Day for Tony!
Afterall, I made all those Gnomes and was trying to
figure out a card! This one works! I'll make more later when I'm done with all my house work.
I only made one and then went back to my bedroom. I vacuumed and dusted and then moved back to the lower floor to do the same. I got the sheets done so got the bed put back together. I washed all out towels and bathmats for the two bathrooms upstairs.
I made two Artisan loaves of bread. Tony got home just as the 1st one came out of the oven. I bagged it up and we walked down the street to Brad Cook and Beth Childers house. It was Beth's birthday today (and I am her Minister) s
She doesn't want to have anything to do with the church but I can visit her as a neighbor and friend. She was in the house laying down but Brad was out working on one of his trucks so he thanked us, and told us he loved us and said she would LOVE the bread & Jam.
I had to get things ready to take dinner over to the Hollingsworth's. I made Tony and I a quick Pork Taco and then he went to fill the car with gas and get some milk and half and half. He also brought me home a salad to go along with the dinner for the Hollingsworth's. I made a Baker's dozen batch of cookies, a loaf of Artisan bread AND
Chicken & Broccoli Penne Pasta with Alfredo sauce. This was before I put the sauce on. I was waiting for Tony to get home before I put the sauce on. Once he got home, I got things ready to go and we took off together to deliver the meal. We ended up staying a good 45 minutes visiting with Arlene and Miranda. Mark was there but he has dementia and so I'm not sure how much he remembers. After we left, we ran to Lynn's so Tony could help his Mom set up an auto pay but she wasn't home. He called her and she said she'd be home in 30 minutes but I didn't want to wait. We came home and got all the trash out to the curb and I cleaned up my kitchen. We sat down to watch TV and Lynn called and said she was home. Tony asked if we could do it tomorrow after our Temple trip. Gonna relax the rest of the evening. Put some more cards together.
It's been a good day, busy good!~
