It was beautiful when we went to the temple this morning. At 5:30 am when we arrived, it was 54 and no wind and warm.
And dry as a bone. We worked our shift (which was awesome) and we got out at 11:00. It had been raining like crazy. When I was in the front foyer, people were coming in and they were wet as could be (if they didn't have an umbrella) and a lot did not. BUT, when we were released, it was just spitting, for the most part. We went over to the Stake house that is next to the temple and the Stringham's had set up (with the help of their daughter who was a service Missionary) a nice potluck for our shift.
Sister Stringham visiting with Brother Shield's and Brother Stringham with his back to us.
The food table filled up quickly as the shift started to gather.
Ranae Ballentine (married to Tony's cousin, Sid) with the dark hair and she is visiting with Abby Munn, who is a return missionary and on our shift now. Abby looks like she is about 12, but such a cutie and a BIG personality!
It was a good turnout and so fun to get to visit with members, outside our shift. Tony and I left after helping to clean up and then went to Deseret Book. We bought a couple of new CD's by
THE PIANO GUYS and PAUL CARDALL.
I called Denise and John on our way home to see if they would be up for a visit. They moved to California and came back to get their things that were in storage while their house was being built. Doesn't look like it will work out this time as they are tired and leaving to go back tomorrow. SO, I called Robin and asked if she wanted me to come over today. She had called me yesterday while we were with Deedra and the family and was in a lot of pain. Wanted me to come over, but I was not able to. SO, I went today and spent a hour and a half with her. I'm home now and we are watching The 2nd part of THE HOBBIT.
