HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

I slept so bad last night!! I just couldn't fall asleep. Finally at midnight, I went downstairs and read for two hours. Then I tried to doze off on the couch but couldn't get comfortable. I finally went back up to bed and tried again.....I kept looking at my watch... 3AM.....4AM....   I must have finally caught a few ZZZZZ's because at 7:30, Tony got up so I did too.  We went to the gym and today none of my friends that I walk with came, so I walked 4 miles listening to COME FOLLOW UP and the new Church Hymns. Actually, it was kinda nice. 

 It was a good day at the gym.  It's Valentine Day and Tony is taking me to lunch at TEXAS ROAD HOUSE! So we came home and found a delicious plate of goodies on the front porch. Jan Poulsen loves to bake and make candy and we are some of the lucky recipients of her hard work.  Not a good thing after a workout. lol All that hard work down the drain... lol  There were two sugar cookies so I had one with a glass of milk and my vitamins. Then I went up to shower while Tony went to Lynn's to blow off her snowy driveway!

After my shower, I thought, 

"I should take a picture of the plate of goodies." 

I went down stairs, and see this is all that's left. Evidently, Tony had more than a sugar cookie. lol  Oh well, it saves me from all the calories.  lol

We went to TEXAS ROADHOUSE early  (like around 1PM) cuz we wanted to digest before we go to bed at 7PM. I was in the mood for a steak this time. I usually get salmon but I never get a steak so I did today! Tony decided to do the same. It was delicious!

We went to COSTCO after we ate to get Diane a gift for her birthday. It's Monday but we are celebrating tomorrow afternoon with the family. Well, some of them. We thought Ada and Mel and Jeff and Cynthia were coming but they have opted out due to the weather. So, they invited Tammy and Chris and the kids. I made mini cheesecakes for my part. Ya know, Valentiny and all. We bought Diane some chocolates.  There was a cute little bird cleaning up crumbs in the isle.  When we got home, we were resting and Suzette called me and said she had made some icing and had waaay too much. It was the kind you cook on the stove. She asked if I could use it. I told her I would. She brought it over and I got busy making sugar cookies. I thought the kids would eat them better than the cheesecakes. The adults will prefer the cheesecakes. lol

I got them baked and while they were cooling, we went to the church to meet with the Sister Missionaries and Yeti. We were 1st to arrive. Then the Sisters. Finally they called Yeti and he thought it was at 8 tonight. So, the sister's had to call another couple to meet with them because we have to go to bed at 7. (Seriously, we're old and need our rest...especially after the crappy night I had last night)  Anyway, we came home and I frosted the cookies and we are headed to bed. I had some pink icing in the fridge and I used it up as well. 

 It was a wonderful Valentine's Day!
