LOVE ME SOME RASPBERRIES!~

We walked late at the gym today because Pat was taking her dog in for a grooming and she couldn't be there till 9.  It worked well for us because we were able to sleep in till 7:30. After we walked with Pat, we picked up Lynn and Joyce and took them grocery shopping. Tony was getting frustrated and said "It's like herding cats!"  lol  I have to admit, he's right. They don't remember where anything is and we have to take them back through the store when we are finished.  We went to Winco and Costco and we were both ready for a break when they finally finished. lol  We came home and I warmed us up the quiche and we had watermelon as well.   I went over and picked more raspberries!!
A BIG PLUS for  taking care of Katie Kat, is that I get to pick their raspberries. I've gotten two nice pickings from their bushes and might be able to get a few more tomorrow before the Jarrett's return.
I absolutely LOVE raspberries.
Jarretts will be home tomorrow so only one more day of cleaning the litter box and petting Katie. It was good pay though. Raspberries are so expensive in the stores.

I saw this on FaceBook today and boy howdy, is this ever true!!  I am still sore from weeding on Monday. It's getting less and less but by Monday of next week, I'll have to do it all over again! lol

Tony drove me to Stacie Doxey's house to pick up this set of books she gave me. I've heard good things about the author so I am excited to FIND SOME TIME TO READ them!!  lol
I was told by a sister in the ward that she wanted to find a way to serve. SO, I told her I was bringing a meal into the Taylor sisters because Lorraine was having hip surgery on Thursday and I was taking a meal in on Friday and Sister Ross was bringing one on Saturday. I asked her if she'd like to make cookies for them. She never did reply to me so I went ahead and made a batch of peanut butter cookies for them.  Still haven't heard from her. I guess that means no. lol  No problem. I made them and gave some to Yeti.
I love the Chick Fil A salad containers!! They come in so handy when giving away food. lol

I also made them Chicken Alfredo cups. Tony and I ate some too and they were pretty tasty. I also made them a Caesar salad and  bought a garlic loaf of French Bread. I was supposed to deliver it to them at 3PM on Friday. Ava told me she would call or text me when she got Lorraine home from the hospital. I waited and waited. I sent a text and made a phone call.....nothing!  I was getting worried and fearing the surgery didn't go well. At 6PM I called again and Ava answered. She apologised and said a cousin had come over to visit and she got so wrapped up in the visit, she forgot to call me. NO problem. I was just glad Lorraine was OK. I took the meal over, visited a bit and then left to come home and go to bed as we worked in the temple the next day.
We served on our shift and were Officiators in the 10 o'clock session. We got out at 11:30 and Tony took me to Chick Fil A for a salad. lol Restocking our give away containers.  lol  When we got home, Shawn Jarrett was in his yard and he called me over. Tony came as well and he asked about the mess in Joyce's yard.

Tony told him the whole story about the disintegrating pipe that had to be replaced and it is now waiting for the city inspectors to check it out before the backfill. Anyway, Suzette and Shawn gave us a birdhouse that they bought in McCall.
We are going to get together to paint them. She got one too. I have a couple of dies that I have double of so I'm going to give them to her and make a date for our paint time. They also gave me a Cinnamon Apple Butter they bought in McCall.  I told them they didn't have to buy me anything. The Raspberries were payment enough!!
SWEET NEIGHBORS!
Today  (Sunday)  we went to church. I picked up Joyce & Lynn. Tony had to go early so he took the truck. While at church, I invited Carol Ross and Yeti to have dinner with us. I hurried hoe after church and got the casserole in the oven. I had cut up cucumber, tomatoes, carrots and radishes and Joyce brought a loaf of bread, Lynn and Joyce showed up and we were waiting for Carol and Yeti so we were just visiting. All of a sudden, I heard Carol scream and calling for help. I jumped up and yelled for Tony to come with me. We ran to the front door, threw it open and poor Carol was sitting on the ground. She had tried to come up the step but fell, landed on my flower pot and then hit the ground. I felt so bad and wished I'd seen her drive up and I would have helped her up the step. Even Patrick next door came running over to help. She apologised about breaking my flower and I told her that was not a problem. I was just glad she wasn't hurt.

We had a good dinner and then we played GOLF till about 3:45. Tony had a meeting and Yeti was going to give the Sacrament to the Taylor Sisters.  The ladies went home  (and I helped Carol down the steps) and then I went upstairs to work on my talk for Mom's memorial service. It was a good Sunday and a good week!
