Monday night, Tony and I had just retired to our bedroom, said our prayers and were reading when our doorbell rang. TWICE!!~ Tony threw on his pants and shirt and hurried downstairs to find Joyce in a panic. She said Lynn had been trying to get in touch with us. Her eye was burning up and she needed to go to the ER. Tony came up and called her and she said she had called Brother Rice and he just showed up to take her to the hospital. Tony said he would meet them at the hospital. And off he went. I tried to sleep but failed miserably. lol Tony got home at midnight and said they couldn't find anything wrong but gave her something for the pain and set an appointment with an eye specialist in Boise on Tuesday. Tony slet better that night than he has in ages.
Tuesday, I got up at 6:30 and was at the gym by 7. Tony went to pick up his mom and take her to the doctor. Pat and I walked and were done before 9. I went home and ate a quick breakfast and then went to the Taylor sister's apartment to help Ava clean. Lorraine is still recovering from hip surgery. Their two grandson's were there helping Ava. I dusted and then helped move the refrigerator and stove out to clean underneath and wash down the sides. I really didn't do much but I did help them for a bit.
When I got home, Tony still wasn't home. I read for a bit and then fixed us some lunch. Tony finally got home and we ate a pizza sandwich on French bread and watermelon. We were relaxing and getting ready to watch America's Got Talent when I get a call from Elder Nitzen. He said there was a BYU Dance Production at the Civic Center and they had two extra tickets. They wanted to know if I wanted to go with Liz. I said I'd call Liz and I would go. I called Liz, she came to pick me up and we headed for the Civic Center. The Elder's were waiting for us and we went in.
We missed about 15 minutes of the show but what we got to see was amazing. They based their show on:
REMARKABLE IDEAS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD
It was so fun!! They did everything from Ballet to hip hop and everything in-between. The costumes were beautiful and the music was phenomenal. Everything from Peggy Lee to Ozzy Osbourne. Such a fun evening!! And Liz loved it. So glad the Elder's called us and gave us the tickets. GREAT TIME!~
Came home and Tony was working on a puzzle. I was tired so we hit the sack. lol Got up this morning and went to the gym. Had a great visit with Pat, after we went to Costco and bought a watermelon and some protein drinks for Lynn & Joyce. Came home and prepared lunch for the Elder's and Liz. I did a potato bar and fresh peaches.
After lunch, we had a great discussion on reading the Book of Mormon daily and what a difference it can make in your life. The boys are great and it was a lovely afternoon.
Had to get my weekly picture (because I forgot last week when the Elder's couldn't make it but Brother Bugby was here) lol
Liz has been enjoying our visits and it's always wonderful to feed the Missionaries. Skinny young men!! They both said they have a hard time gaining weight. BOY, wouldn't that be nice!!
Well, time to do something constructive. Like take a shower and get ready for tomorrow's temple date with Ada and Mel, Jeff and Cynthia and Joyce & Lynn. Then we are all going to lunch together. After that, we are going to the gym and Pat is waiting to walk till I get there. She is so sweet!! Good Day!
