SATURDAY (THE MEMORIAL)

Got up Saturday morning and got ready to go to the cemetery. It was raining on the way out. BUT, we got to the cemetery and it quit.

They had a canopy set up and chairs underneath. It was just for family so it was a small gathering.

Mom's urn was absolutely beautiful. Wendy found it online and she did great!!  We all loved it.

Traci was assigned to do the "Granddaughter Walk" with all mom's granddaughter's who were there.  I don't have pictures of it but Scott was assigned to be the photographer so I'll eventually have better pictures.  She carried the urn while all of the girls followed her up the hill. There was a gal who played "Danny Boy" on the violin for the walk. It was very moving.

THE GRANDDAUGHTER'S WALK

Isabel looked so cute as did all the girls!

Holly spoke 1st for her mother, Donna. Donna and Jack could not be there so Holly took over. It was a beautiful tribute. I spoke 2nd and Tony took my picture. Lorie, Dave and Rick followed me. Then Will, Eric and Corbin sang a beautiful song. It was gorgeous. Dave dedicated the grave and Ryan placed the urn in the grave.

A board and turf was placed over it till we left and then the cemetery owner did the rest. The rock was placed beside the grave. \
It's a baseball saying :

Mike did it and it is beautiful!  After the service, we drove back to the church and it started to rain again. Tender Mercies!!

We got pictures of the 1st cousins that were present.
(And one great granddaughter) from left to right:
Eric, Holly, Jason, Charcie, Ryan, Jacob, Will, Traci & Scott

Mom's kids (except for Donna)
from the left: Dave, Lorie, Rick and Laverne

And then Holly stepped  in for donna and she was going to try and photoshop her mom in! That would be awesome!
Me Andrew, Traci and Isabel going through photo albums. I was so excited that Andrew wanted Mom's scriptures because her name was engraved on them. So Sweet!

Wendy and Rick had Chipotle  cater the dinner and boy, did we have a lot of food!! lol A tower of Chipotle!!

We went to the beach Saturday evening because the rain had stopped and it was lovely but I had to post this. After church on Sunday, the family met in the cultural hall to eat MORE CHIPOTLE. Tony and I had left before church because we had such a long drive so we weren't there but these troopers ate it. I doubt they got it all cleaned up, lol cuz there was a ton!!
