WE MEET EVELYN

Saturday, we served at the temple and my last assignment was Bride Attendant. I can't believe how much  the Lord is in the details of our lives.  The Bride was Alea Hedges!!  She is the older sister to Gracie Hedges who is Scotlyn's best friend. I had met Alea once before so I was so excited to be with her and with her Mom.
This image was caught when I let the kids out the side door to be greeted by their families .  They were sure a cute couple and I was so happy to be a part of their big day!

When we were leaving, Lubov wanted to have her picture taken.

She's quite the poser. lol
We headed home after a wonderful day serving. When we got home, we ate lunch and then headed up to the hospital in Meridian to meet our newest great grandbaby.

This is little Evelyn Jaye Sweeten

She is a beautiful little girl.

She weighed 7 something but of course lost weight (which is normal) bur her mommy had a pretty hard delivery. They gave her an epidural but the medicine went into Ellie's blood stream instead of to the place it was supposed to go. Ellie pushed for 3 hours and they finally had to use forceps on the baby and the doctor was pulling as hard as she could (she was a small lady) so a nurse was pulling on the doctor.  They finally got the wee one out but Mommy was totally exhausted. Evelyn looked really well for being pulled with forceps. Her head is elongated but no bruising on her face.

Ellie was showing us a video she took of Joe changing the baby's diaper one evening. It was so funny to watch the expressions on Joe's face. He said it smelled like asphalt and he couldn't get the smell out of his nostrils.

Blake & Grace came to see her as well, so it was nice to get to see them too.  After visiting them, we went back home and then over to Lynn's to see Alivia & Cory for a bit before Tony and I went home for him to work on his talk for Sunday. We found out that Nate and Melissa were asked to speak at 9am, Sunday. Tony was speaking at 10:30 and Chris & Tammy were asked to speak at noon. SO, I ended up going to 3 Sacrament meetings, on Sunday which was really nice. Cory and Alivia decided to stay till Monday morning so we had a nice visit with them on Sunday afternoon. They drove out to Nate and Melissa's to see their new house around 5.  Tony and I came home around 8 and watched one episode of EVERWOOD .

I made more embellishments while we watched. Then we went to bed. I slept so bad the previous night, I was excited to hit the hay.
