PAT SAY'S I CAN'T SIT STILL! LOL

We got up at 6:30 (and it's still dark) and met Pat at the gym. We walked and had a great visit. She is sad that I won't be there next week (will be in Montana) and she hates to walk without me. I don't like to walk without her either but I bring ear buds and listen to conference talks or Come Follow Up, and she doesn't do that. Anyway, she gave us a half of a Hami melon and I gave her a bag of apples. I told her they were a bit green but she could make a pie. She laughed and said "Like that will ever happen" We came home and I toasted us a piece of Banana bread and we ate the melon. It's from China and is kinda a cross of a Honey Dew and an Cantaloupe melon. It's a light pink, shaped like a football and really good.  After eating, I started to make Caramel apples. I was in the mood.

I washed the FUJI apples and dried them well, stuck a stick in them and chopped a bunch of walnuts and got my mat prepared for them!

I mixed up the ingredients for caramel and started cooking. Tony was resting in the back room and watching a show from Australia called "RED DOG".  Kinda different but he was getting a kick out of it. I'd take a peak every now & again while cooking.

After a good while, it finally started to caramelize.

I started with 6 apples and decided I had better wash a few more.  I ended up getting 10 done but the caramel was getting thick.

So I poured the remainder out onto Parchment paper and added nuts to the top. Then after the apples set up......................

I put some chocolate on top. Kinda messy but hope they taste good.  Then I sat down to rest a minute and Tony said he was going to LOWE'S to pick up a blower and edger he'd ordered. Wanted to know if I wanted to go. I told him I was going to get some apple's bagged up and we are going to deliver to the neighbors. I needed to do my hair and clean up the kitchen. He asked if there was anything I needed from the store so I sent him a list. lol I have to make potato salad for Sunday's "LINGER LONGER" and needed a few items. He's gonna pick them up for me. He's a Keeper!! I'm glad we are having that this Sunday because I won't have to make a big dinner! YIIPEE!  Gotta pick up a gal at work today at 5 and take her home. She's new in the ward and doesn't have a car. It's just down the street at the Artic Circle so no big deal. 

I sent Pat a picture of the apples and told her I'll bring one out to her tomorrow. She said, "WOW!  You don't ever sit still do you?"  lol

There is a gal online who draws pictures of famous people. You can commission her to do one for yourself too but she just did this one of Charlie Kirk! WOW!! She is good!! Reminds me of the one Addie did of my parents. (But it was done with colored pencils!)

Well, I'm cooking potatoes so better go check on them.
