We went to the temple this morning. Joyce was sick so it was just the three of us. Lynn, Tony and myself. It was a nice day but cool enough to wear a sweater. That's OK by me. I'm loving the cooler weather. Come Winter, I'll probably complain it's too cold but Fall is a wonderful time of year!!
We each did an endowment, then an hour of sealings and then we each did 5 Initiatory. I was able to do 22 ordinances on my line. That made me very happy! I told Lynn I was going out to take some pictures while she waited for Tony to pick up names.
When we went in, there were grounds workers, planting tulip bulbs! They had dug up all the flowers and I wanted to get a picture of their work. All those pretty flowers are gone.
Both sides of the entryway as well. Not sure what was planted out here but I would assume more tulip bulbs!
Then I walked down to the end of the sidewalk and those plants were all gone too. Kinda looks bare compared to what it looked like all summer. We then went to CHICK FIL A for a quick lunch. When we left the restaurant, I noticed Lynn's car on the passenger side was munged up. I showed Tony and he said it must have happened while we were in the temple or in the restaurant. I said I didn't think so. He got in the car and told his mom and she said she knew. She said a guy hit her and since it wasn't bad, they decided to let it go. Tony said, "WHAT!!! It's bad!" Then in talking to her, we discovered it was on Midland at the intersection coming to our house. The same place where Joyce was hit!! It was Lynn's fault just like it was Joyce's fault. I seriously think they both should have their keys taken away and they should quit driving. We ran to Costco to get some half and half and Lynn needed a list of her prescriptions. Then we came home. I am going to work on my lesson for Sunday. Tony had both Lynn and Joyce come over so he could get all their information for our appointment at the end of the month for our Health Insurance, It's changing again! We are not happy! But, it has to be done. My Russian friend Lubov, came over and gave me a coat, jewelry, and a bunch of stuff for Lynn. She is moving to Spain in November so she's cleaning house. lol It was sweet of her but I'll probably take a bunch of it to DI. It was sweet of her to do it though.
I got the nicest text from my son Chris on my way home from the temple. It was a sweet text and he told me he loved me. I told him it meant the world to me and told him I loved his as well. As I do all my kids!! Later in the evening, I sent him a text and told him again, how much it meant to me and asked how everything was and if everyone was OK. I then got a phone call from Chris, and I said "Are you OK, you sound like you have a bad cold" then he told me he was in the hospital and just lost a his kidney!! WHAT?!!!
I guess he has been having trouble for over a month. So much so that he hasn't worked in a month! A lot of pain, loss of sleep and appetite, peeing blood etc. Has made multiple trips to the ER and had several MRI's and was told by one doctor he was just constipated!! Finally Norma said she was taking him to Phoenix to a clinic her sister worked at. There they sent him to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix and found out his kidney was hugely inflamed and on top of that he had a cyst on it. They got him scheduled to have surgery back in El Paso and he had it removed yesterday!!
I WAS SHOCKED!
I told him he needs to let me know these things! He said he didn't want me to worry and I told him that was rubbish! I am his mother and I have a right to know! It's my job to worry about my kids! Norma is keeping me informed and I'm praying he will recover
quickly!
