I have been working in my craft room since I got back from Montana. I know, I know, it still looks like a mess, but believe me.....It's 100% better than it was.
My sister Donna, gave me a lot of paper, lace, embroidery thread, cutout squares for a quilt as well as new dishes!! I had no problem putting the dishes away and I got rid of my plain clear dishes to make room for the new ones. The paper and all the other stuff was another story. lol I started by going through my file cabinet. MAN, what a mess! I had so much stuff in the files and so much of it that I'll never use. I started to go through each file and I threw out tons of paperwork!! I found my birth certificate and my citizenship papers so that was a good thing!! Some papers with names and pertinent information on them, I shredded. The rest, I tossed in the trash. It took days as I didn't have 8 hours a day to work on it.
Then I organized the files and labeled each one. Once I finished that, I tried to organise the room itself.
I still need to downsize the room itself but with all the stuff I have going on in my life, I just haven't had a chance to get to it.
BUT, at least it's organized.
Donna has a craft room and she took the doors off her closet so it's easier for her to get to the things she needs, SO I asked Tony if I could take the door off my closet. He took them off and put them in his shed. Now I can get things out of it straight on!! No messing with the doors and that makes me happy! lol Now, if I just had some time to get up there and sew! I've got some things I want to make, but this week I'm working on my lesson for Sunday so maybe next week!
Saturday and Sunday were spent watching General Conference and it was wonderful!! Between session's I used the Vibrator plate that Tony bought. Jack had one and Tony thought it was a good deal so he ordered us one and also one for his mother. It's supposed to be good for our joint and back pain, decreases stress, increases strength and stability and balance and helps with blood flow. I've been having a lot of pain in my right knee and it has gotten better since I started to use this. Maybe it's in my head, but I think it works. lol
Liz joined us on Sunday for the morning and afternoon sessions and had lunch with us. Joyce & Lynn came over after watching the morning session at their homes and then joined us for lunch and the afternoon session. I am so excited for Liz. She has set a baptism date for November 1st!! She was very moved by the talks at Conference and her testimony is growing. She's a sweet gal and I am so happy to be her friend. Today, we went to the gym and then came home and ate a quick breakfast. Tony went to his mom's to mow her lawn and I had to take Joyce to a dentist appointment. Afterwards, I took her to Walgreens so she could get some medication. Then when I got home, I mowed our lawn, front & back. Tony did Joyce's and then he came into eat lunch. I swept and mopped the kitchen and now I've got to work on my lesson. Sunday will be here before I know it.
