WHAT A DAY!~

When I think I have a day to relax, it never happens.  We went to the gym and walked. We didn't get up till 7:30 and got there at 8.  After walking, we came home and ate a quick breakfast and then took off for Costco to get a couple of things we needed there, and then to Winco for ginger. We drank the remainder of the "Ginger Shot" so I needed to make more. After picking up our items, we came home, put things away and then picked up the box that the wheel chair came in and went to Lynn's so we could store it for her. We also bought her some big black garbage bags for her leaves. Then we forgot to leave them at her house. BUT, we'll be picking her up tomorrow for the temple so we'll leave them then.

The library sent me a text that the book I wanted was in. We went to pick it up after leaving Lynn's. Then Tony asked me if I wanted to check the little store up front in the Library.  They sell books.

We found another one of Traci's books. Now I have three.  Yay!

I had my ginger soaking, so I got the "GINGER SHOT" made when we got back home from the library. I started making it with a frozen orange juice concentrate and lemon juice rather than getting oranges and lemons and peeling and juicing them.
SO MUCH EASIER!!  The hardest part is soaking, grinding and straining the ginger. Not bad. So, I got another (almost) gallon done!  I started the book for book club in November  (FREEFALL) and it is super good, right from the get go!! I wanted to keep reading but I had other things to do. That's so hard for me cuz I love to read!!

But I also wanted to finish the cards I started a few days ago. I used an embossing folder I recently got that makes the wooded tree background. I was really pleaded how it turned out!

So I got 6 of them done but ran out of leaves and acorns. so I had to cut out more to finish the two cards I had left.

I made one a Thanksgiving card and one a birthday card because I am using sentiments I already had made.

I had to feed my sour dough starter earlier in the day and it was done and ready to use. I made another chocolate chip bread. Looks like I didn't get the chips incorporated very good BUT, Tony and I had a slice when it came out of the oven. It was nice & warm and it turned out really good. While it was baking, the doorbell rang. It was Lori Slover from 12th ward. She told me she was on her way to bowling but she is very concerned about her daughter who has 5 children. Her youngest has been in and out of the hospital and Lori babysits her kids when she is in the hospital with her baby. (He's actually 2) Anyway, she asked if I could help baby sit. I told her I was sorry but I really can't help out. My schedule is just too busy. I have Relief Society meetings, we are in charge if the Ward Trunk or Treat, as well as helping out with the Senior Thanksgiving dinner. We go to the temple once a week and then serve on Saturdays. We are going to Kennewick and Lewiston in November and it is just too hard to schedule a time to tend kids. I told her that her daughter needs to talk to her Relief Society President and ask if there is someone in her ward who can help.

When she left to go bowling, I got Tony's new Temple pants hemmed and pressed. I just sat down to watch THE VOICE with Tony and the Sister's called and asked if I could meet them at the Smith building because Liz was getting her baptismal interview and they needed a member there. It was 7:30 and I needed to be there at 8PM.  Tony came with me and it was a good thing. we needed to find out who is in charge of filling the font. It was the Tongan Wards Halloween Party and so President Wollstenhume was there and he gave Tony the contact person. Liz also got to get in the closet and get a baptismal jumpsuit. we were there an hour, came home and showered and got ready for bed. THE VOICE will have to wait.
Like I said,  busy day!
