I signed up to make cornbread muffins for our Annual Halloween Trunk or Treat at the church. It's not till tomorrow night so I'll make them tomorrow after the gym. I went ahead and made the mini cupcakes for Liz's baptism though.
Shelly had two of the big pans for mini cupcakes and I had the small one. She is making white ones and I made chocolate. I went ahead and put them in containers in the mini fridge out in the garage so when I get home from the temple on Saturday, I can pull them out and ice them. I got smart with how to put the batter in the tins.
As well as the icing.
I put the batter into one of these squirt bottles that I had honey in them. The honey ran out and I had cleaned them so I thought it would be an easy way to put the right amount into the small cupcake liners without spilling the batter all over the tin. It worked great. I washed them out and refilled them with the icing. Saturday, before I leave to go to the temple, I'll take them out of the fridge and when I get home, I'll squirt a blob onto the cupcake. Easy Peasy!! I'm patting myself on the back, can you tell? lol
I got this picture for Liz. I'll give it to her after her baptism. I've got to wrap it somehow but I'll get it figured out. I need to make her a special card too. SOON....
Check out my Christmas Cactus!! It has little buds all over it and will soon bloom! I'm so excited!
In-between going out to the garage and helping Tony with some projects out there, I was able to get a card done for Liz. It's not really a very good one for a baptism but it will have to do. I got her picture wrapped and so I am ready ( except for icing the cakes) for her baptism!! In finishing up her card, I found some cutouts that I had done with my BIG SHOT and so I took them out of the crappy containers I had them in and separated them into the plastic containers I got from Lubov. Then Tony came in and said he was going to relax and work on his puzzle and watch TV. SO, I quit working in my craft room and went down and read my book.
He finished his puzzle AND I LOVE IT!!
It's definitely getting framed!!
Time for scripture reading and prayers and then off to la la land.
