BURLEY WAS A BUST....KINDA

Saturday of this week,  we left for Burley at 8am. Yeti walked down to our house and we drove to pick up Rolando. The four of us drove to Burley and arrived around 11:30am.

The Temple is off the road quite aways, so not visible from the freeway. We could see that there were an incredible amount of people waiting in line. Tony let us 3 out and he went to park in a field where they were directing traffic. We started to walk to the back of the line when a lady directing people told us that it would be a 5 to 6 hour wait in line. SAY WHAT???

We turned around and started walking back to meet up with Tony.  We told him about the wait and we all concurred we didn't want to wait that long in a line. So we took advantage of some photo time.
Tony, Yeti & Rolando & ALL THE OTHER'S IN THE BACKGROUND! LOL

Me, Yeti & Rolando

The temple looks big but they say it is pretty small.

It was a beautiful day and the weather was absolutely perfect!!

Rolando wanted me to take a picture of him so he could send it to his girlfriend. He is so funny. He went to the Deseret Industries with Tony and he bought a couple of suits, some jeans and some shirts. We told him he didn't have to dress up to go to the open house so he wore the new jeans and a suit coat. lol  He was pretty pleased with himself and wanted to impress his girl.

We walked back to the field where the car was parked and I took a picture of the boys!

Then Yeti took one of the three of us!

Got in the car, took one last picture and headed for home. I was pretty bummed we didn't get to go in without a super long wait, but Yeti had such a good attitude about it. He said, "But just look at all the people who did get in."   We drove back to Twin Fall's and Yeti wanted treat us all to lunch at a Mexican Restaurant.  SO, we found one and went in and ate. I got 3 Carne Asada street taco's, Tony got a chicken chimichanga and the boys got burritos.   We then drove back to Nampa and Tony took us all to Cold Stone for ice-cream. I got a slushie and the boys all got ice-cream. We took Rolando home and he wanted us to come in and see his place. He was able to get out of the half way house he was living in after he got released from prison and he now rents a little place on 2nd street. It is one room with a small bathroom and a little spot for his stove. He sleeps on his couch and has a stuffed chair as well. He was so grateful for what he has now. I told Tony later that we are so blessed. Tony told me that it makes a difference the choices we make when we are young. Anyway, we dropped Yeti off as well and came home and relaxed the rest of the evening. UNTIL, Tony got really really sick!! He had diarrhea at 1st. Then it was vomiting and diarrhea together. He was  having a terrible time. Then he got the chills and was shaking,  he was so cold!! We went to bed and he covered up and got to sleep. By Sunday morning he was feeling better but totally exhausted. We went to church and then brought Lynn home with us and I made sliders for lunch. After we ate Tony fell asleep in on the couch for a couple of hours while we watched COME FOLLOW UP.  When he woke up, Lynn wanted to play games but Tony told her he was enjoying resting so we turned on THE CHOSEN until it was time for our last Resilience class. We were supposed to bring treats so I made puffed wheat squares. There was so much to eat we all had leftovers to take home. It was a great class and I totally enjoyed it.
