SILVER SISTER'S & GATE ALMOST COMPLETED!

Tony's number didn't come up today so he didn't have to report for jury duty. SO, we went to the gym at 7:50 am. I walked with Pat. She said she was cooking for her kids today. I asked her what time she was feeding them and she said at 4 or 5 this evening. I said, "well why don't you come to the Silver Sister's luncheon with me."  SHE SAID SHE WOULD!! I was so happy!!  I've been asking her for a long time now and she always said she couldn't cuz she cooked for her family on Tuesdays. When she said she didn't feed them till 4 or  5 I gave it a shot. It worked!!

It was such a good one today and she kept telling me how much she enjoyed it. It was all about books, the library and all it had to offer. There were jelly beans on the tables and Pat & I were eating them like crazy. lol  There were 2 gals from the Nampa library who explained all about getting a card, audio tapes, the book return, the book store etc etc..... They also had a cart with a bunch of audio books that they gave away. I got two mysteries. Hope their good!

We sat with Luva, Joyce and Effie.

Also with Lynn and Shelly and Elizabeth, who was in the 1st photo with Pat and me. They served 4 kinds of soups, rolls, crackers, cheese and cupcakes.

They had coasters for everyone and this was mine!
 I LOVE IT!!

They also gave us a little book and a pen that was inscribed with a book reference.  Pat's said, "shhhhhh, I'm reading"  It was pretty cute. It was a super good activity and Pat totally enjoyed it.  We dropped off Lynn and came back to my house. We went to the back yard to check on Tony before Pat left.

He was working on the gate.  I'm so glad because it's been kinda creepy having it open....especially at night. There are a lot of people who walk the road behind the fence.

Pat went home and I went in to do laundry, and read!  lol  I'm almost done with The Secret of Secrets. It is so dang good!

I made several trips in and out and helped Tony occasionally by holding up the gate while he put screws in. I took a picture of my flower because I can't believe it is November 18th and it is still blooming!!  Totally amazing!!

It was getting dusk and Tony was almost finished. He cut several fence boards at a time.

I took a picture once all the fence slats were up. Tomorrow, he'll put the handles on and also put in a bolt drop rods. Then he'll continue the fence to the corner. Our fence is eventually getting refurbished. a section at a time. Hence the different colors. Next spring he and Patrick are going to replace a section up by the front of the house.
I had a meeting tonight at 7. When I got home, we went over to Lynn's and put out her trash and all the bags of leaves that have been raked up. It's her garbage day tomorrow. Off to bed now.
It's been a good day!  I am grateful for my blessings.
