SPECTACULAR WEEKEND!~

I started off Friday, admiring my Christmas Cactus. It is blooming superbly!  SO BEAUTIFUL, for a tiny plant!

Then off to the gym we went. Walked with Pat and had a great visit.
Came home and Tony finished his gate. I like the new hardware on it.

Then he tore down part of the fence. Replaced a post that had rotted and broken off.

Then started replacing the fence up to the corner.
I made Funeral Potatoes. One for Sister Cook's funeral, which id tomorrow and I also made a small one for us to have on Sunday.

I went out and took a picture when Tony was finished with the back fence. He wants to replace more but at least this is done. Maybe more this coming Spring. We went to bed early as we work in the temple Saturday mornings.
It was a comfortable morning when we went in. Dark but no wind at all and it was not bad. Quite different when we finished and left for home. Breezy and cold!! The wind makes all the difference. We stopped at Chick Fil A and went through the drive thru and brought it home to eat. I popped my potatoes for the funeral in the oven to cook while we ate our lunch. When they were done, I ran them to the church and then Tony and I had to go to the Stake House for Leadership Training. It was our Stake Conference and we had Elder Shumway come to speak.
He was sustained as a General Authority Seventy in April General Conference of 2024. He was such a great speaker and has so much personality. He spoke  in both the Leadership meeting and the Adult session, which we attended as well. We left to go pick up Liz and Lynn after the Leadership training and came back to the Stake house with them. They were GREAT meetings and my testimony was strengthened so much. All four of us were crying during the evening session. Such a wonderful conference.

He spoke a lot about our new Prophet, Presiden Dallin Oaks. We are so blessed to have a Prophet on the earth in these latter days! I am so grateful to be a member of the church and to have the guidance and instruction we are given. It helps so much in this turbulent world. Sunday, we chose to stay home and ZOOM the conference because Garrett was giving his Farewell talk in Kennewick.  Lynn came over and we three watched Conference on Tony's laptop and only missed the very end as we chose to tune in to Garrett.

He did such a good job and we are so proud of him! I loved this picture of his beautiful smile. He is going to be such a GREAT SERVICE MISSIONARY! excited to see him and his family in Lewiston for THANKSGIVING when we go to see Alex return from his mission In Ventura California.  After our church meetings, I made pork chops, squash and the funeral potatoes for our dinner. Then we watched the last episode of THE CHOSEN (the last that we have anyway) and then we watched COME FOLLOW UP. Then we played GOLF with Lynn. She went home at dusk to avoid driving in the dark.  What a wonderful weekend.

This morning we went to the gym at 7:45. Met up with Pat and walked our 4 miles. At one point, I saw Marissa's father so I caught up to him and asked him if I could send him a picture I took of Marissa. He asked if I was the one who gave her the ornament. I told him I was and he thanked me over and over. He said she came home and said "My friend at the Rec Center gave me this". Her older sister was so excited and she said, "That's the 1st ornament we will put on the tree"  Her dad (whose name is Conrad)  told me he wanted me to meet his wife and Marissa's mother. When we came around the bend, He said, "Here she is!"  He introduced me and she thanked me over and over. They thought I'd bought it at the Disney Store and were wondering where the store was. lol  They were shocked when I told them I made it. lol  Anyway, it made me feel good. Marissa is such a sweet young lady and I was happy to make it for her. I now have two more friends at the center. YAY!!
we came home and we ate breakfast. Then Tony went out to take the shelf down which is over the garage door. We are getting a new door after Thanksgiving and they said the shelf couldn't be there.

I came in and made a picture for the Gleason's. They are our friends who moved to California and now want to move back to Idaho. lol They are coming on the weekend of the 12th of December and want to get together. She is so talented and always makes me a gift. SO, I made this for her. Hope she likes it.
Then I made one more Snowman and actually filled him or her with white plastic beads. I had one more salt & pepper shaker so why not!!   lol  I went out to see what Tony was up to.....

And I notice my flower is refusing to give up!! I'm totally amazed! we've had frost and it's cold but she is still hanging in there. It's the 24th of November for Pete's Sake!!

Tony was cutting out frames for the four puzzles he has put together that need to be framed.

I helped him get more wood out of the garage and then I came in and started packing. Now I need to make lunch before it gets too late. It's been a good few days and I love my life. I've got concerns and things that make me sad, but I know I am blessed and happy about that.
