THE SENIOR THANKSGIVING DINNER

When we got home from setting up for the dinner, I took a picture of my tree from outside!!  I've been wanting to put my tree in the front of the window for years! FINALLY!!  I love it!!

It's not dead center because I still have a chair in the corner , but it's close enough! I'M HAPPY!~

I got up at 8 because I didn't have to be at the Middleton building till 12:30. I got the potatoes put in the big portable oven and set it to low.
We got dressed and then at 12:15, we went to pick up Lynn. Liz decided not to go. She wanted to clean house and she was fasting because she is getting her patriarchal blessing Sunday.

The crowd wasn't as big as we anticipated. It was disappointing. The center tables and a couple of the round ones didn't get filled. I guess some of them said that last years wasn't that good and so they didn't come. I will admit, last years was not good, BUT, we had Jan Poulsen and Shelly Hughes in charge and our meal was superb!

Brother Rice and Brother Preece cooked the turkey breasts on their treagers and they were incredibly good!! Shelly made 600 rolls, (AND THERE IS NO BETTER BREAD MAKER EVER)  several of us made potatoes. We had dressing and beans and the entire meal was phenomenal.  Sister Rise played a trivia game with us all as we waited for Pumpkin pie or brownies for dessert.
Then while we ate our dessert, Ellzah Ouckama played some beautiful music on her violin.

Adelaide Arsenault also played and both girls did GREAT!! When the program was over, people starting leaving and then we had the cleanup. Many hands made light work as several pitched in to clean off tables, put them away and to put the chairs up. There was a fair amount of food left over so we came home with a little of everything. PLUS a whole pumpkin pie and several dozen rolls.  I loved it because we were able to take a pie, rolls and 3 meals down to Yeti. I had told him I wasn't cooking dinner on Sunday because we had such a busy week and both of us were dead tired. Also, Tony and I had to return the 4 tables, the 3 carts and all the trays that go on the carts AND all the water pitchers to the canyon building. That was a bit of a job getting it all back into place with just the 2 of us.

When we got home it was still light outside so I took another picture of my tree. lol  I'm obsessed. We came in and I put all the food away while Tony got the trailer taken off the truck and parked it behind the fence again. We took a shower, got ready for bed and sat down on the couch and watched THE CHOSEN till bedtime. It was such a busy week and I am looking forward to resting after church.
