I served as YOUNG WOMEN'S PRESIDENT a few years ago and Kallie Butterfield was one of my Laurels. I love her so much! She has such a testimony and honestly, she taught me probably more than I taught her. She was so willing to step in and do what a lot of girls didn't want to do. If someone didn't show up to give their two and a half minute talk for Sacrament meeting, Kallie would volunteer. AND, she would give an incredible talk! She was a great example to everyone. We had an activity at Lake Lowell one summer and she asked me to keep track of a priceless heirloom ring while she was in the water. I put it in my camera case thinking it would be safe. When the kids came back from the water, I whipped out my camera to take pictures and later discovered that I'd also flipped out the ring when I did so. I was sick! Kallie was not upset at all. All she said is "Let's pray!" ...... We did and everyone starting scouring the grass to see if we could find it. Kallie even knelt AGAIN by herself at a picnic table and offered another prayer.
Well, prayers ARE ANSWERED and we found her ring. She taught me so much about FAITH that day and I will always always remember the lesson and her sweet presentation of it!
Congratulations Kallie and Erik !
Kallie served a Mission in Texas where she met Erik. He was serving there also. They are just the cutest couple and are so happy together!
Kallie and her dad dancing and Erik and his mother.
It was fun to be able to see them before they move to Arizona to start a new life together!
Love this girl!~
