I am happy to report the diuretic has helped immensely! The swelling in my feet has gone down tremendously and I can now wear shoes again. YEHAW!`
I have noticed my skin has dried out so I have to lotion up good but hey, that's an easy fix! I am now down to 20 milligrams of prednisone a day and I was able to sleep this morning till 5:15! SCORE!!
It was awesome! The problem I'm dealing with now is my back.! I slipped and fell 2 1/2 weeks ago when I was hiking with my kids at McCall.
(I KNOW!!~ As if I didn't already have enough crap going on!)
I didn't think I'd hurt myself that bad but it has got progressively worse as the days have gone by. I was beginning to think I'd cracked my tailbone or something because it's to the point that I can hardly walk. I finally went to the chiropractor yesterday after work and he said I'd really jammed the bones in my back and tail bone. He worked me over good, gave me a good massage and rubbed me down with a cayenne salve. After a 7 hour nights sleep, I felt pretty good when I got up this morning but I am still stiff and sore. It will take several days to get feeling back to normal and I will probably go in to see him one more time after Labor Day. I have simply got to start acting my age. After all, I'm not a kid any more. lol I'm also beginning to realize I'm mortal! lol Old age is setting in whether I like it or not!~
On a side note: I discovered that the cramping in my hands and feet are caused from the steroids. It has gotten worse with the diuretic. Guess it's a good thing I won't be taking them for much longer...
