CONFERENCE WEEKEND!~

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend and it's a good thing as both Tony and I have come down with colds and we needed the rest!! We started off going to Garrett's birthday on Friday night.
Saturday, we stayed in our jammies and watched the 1st session of General Conference, after which we changed our clothes and went out and  mowed the lawn and picked the tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden. We then went  back in and watched the 2nd session of conference. It was wonderful and a very much needed spiritual uplift!!
Tony's sister Diane came to town last Wednesday and she went to the temple with us on Thursday night to do sealing's. We were able to spend some time with her at Garrett's birthday party too so after Conference on Saturday, I suggested we all go to THILAND EXPRESS for dinner.  We went to pick up Mom and Dad and Diane but only the ladies came. Dad decided he wanted to rest before the Priesthood session. We had a wonderful meal. I love Thai food and I wanted to have Diane try this place as she is a coinsurer of good food!  lol  She loved it!!
After dropping them off at home, Tony and I came home and got comfortable (as in getting back into our jammies) and watched the Priesthood Session of General Conference!  I'm so glad it is broadcast on the BYU channel now because I love the Priesthood session! It was fantastic!!
After conference we watched the BSU game against Utah! A real nail biter! We thought it was going to be a little easier win than it was!!  A good Game for sure!
Sunday we relaxed again watching both sessions of conference together and then went to Mom and Dad Norton's for dinner. Diane had made a roast chicken, mashed potatoes and fresh cooked carrots from Mom's garden. I brought a cucumber, tomato, avocado, red onion and cilantro salad! Mmmm, dinner was good! Diane made a big apple pie for dessert . After dinner we played Mexican Train and had a great time. It was a weekend for "Spiritual feasting" as well as just feasting! lol
I am grateful for strength I get from listening to the prophet and the 12 in this scary time we live in.
I love General Conference and am so grateful for my testimony! I know there are so many things I need to work on and listening to them helps me to realize that I need to do some improving and I need to start NOW!~
