GRANDCHILD #37 HAS ARRIVED

I got a call around 3 PM yesterday and Deedra informed me that she and Curtis had just gone to her checkup. She was going to have her baby at a birthing center in Meridian but they discovered that the baby was breech yesterday so they sent her to St. Lukes Meridian to have a doctor turn the baby.  Then later after I was off work, I headed to Costco to get some last minute things and Curtis called me. He said the baby was turned but that 20 minutes later she flipped back into breech position so the doctor was going to turn her again and break Deedra's water and she would be having the baby there at the hospital. Curtis asked me if I would go to 6their home and get Deedra's bag, the diaper bag and his cell charger. He said I might be around for the birth.
Well as much as I would have loved that, I am still recovering from a pretty nasty cold and I felt it would not be wise for me to be there. I did, however agree to bring the things to the hospital. After arriving at their home I was told that Shawna (Curtis' sister) had already been there and was on her way to deliver the items. I was glad she did that. I could never forgive myself, if I had mad a brand new baby sick!  We stayed in touch via the phone and Little April Kaye Butterfield arrived at 10:34 last night weighing 7lbs, 13 oz. and 20 inches long!



Can't wait to see her but I will be patient until I am healthy!
