1st YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF DAD'S PASSING~ PATSY'S MEMORIAL~

Yesterday, a year ago ..... January 25th 2016,   was the day my dear precious father passed away. I watched the video that Scott had made "LOVE AT HOME" and shed some tears! I thought about how grateful I am to my sweet brother Rick and his family who are taking such wonderful care of our mother. I reflected on the visits we have all had with mom over the past year. Dave and Paul just a week ago and Lorie and Dave several months ago as well as  Donna and Jack and Tony and I. I am so thankful for ETERNAL FAMILIES and the promise of being together again!

I am so grateful for this beautiful resting place and the beautiful head stone that Mom picked out! I am thankful for Wendy and the kids (Kate in this picture) They treat mom so well and Wendy loves her like she did her own mother. And the kids are fabulous to their Grandmother Irene!

Mom picked out the flowers and they were beautiful! I know Dad is looking down and appreciates the good treatment his site gets. I'm sure he is looking forward to the day when mom unites with him again!

But we are enjoying her here with us and so we all hope it's not anytime soon! She sure looks fantastic for a 95 year old! Love her so much!!~
She is doing well. She doesn't hear very good so she enjoys letters and I try to write to her on a regular basis. She lives alone in her little apartment in Ricks house and she is still a fantastic cook and seamstress! She is one amazing woman!

Another significant event that took place yeaterday was the memorial for my cousin Patsy! She passed away on January 19th and a Memorial was held for her yesterday in Laurel Montana. She was 68 years old. Just 2 years my senior. She lived with us through High School and she became as close to me and my sisters as a sister!  We loved her fun personality and her ambition and her talent and testimony. We will all miss her but we know there was a fantastic reunion on the other side of the veil as she was greeted by her mother, brother Don and lots of Aunts and Uncles. I'm sure my dad was one of them. I wished I could have gone but with this weather, we decided not to.

My cousin Joan Adams sent me this sweet picture of Uncle Lloyd (Patsy's dad) and Aunt Marie. They are two of the three siblings left.  Uncle Dean lives in Canada and he and his wife Enola are fighting battles of their own health wise.  We still have Aunt Nora too who was married to Uncle Melvin.  They have all left quite a posterity.
I LOVE MY FAMILY!!~
