I am so proud of Traci and her two girls, Sophia and Isabel! They are on a "Medical Mission" in Honduras right now! They got there last Friday night late. I have heard from them 3 or four times so far and they are keeping me posted on the things they are doing. It is impressive.

They are bussed daily to small villages to set up clinics.
The 1st day was in a village with a 6 class room school and 4 of those were made into clinic rooms. Pharmacy, dental, optometry, pediatrics and adult. In the center of the school there was a cement slab used for triage and games for the small children. Sophia has been teaching women about their menstrual cycle and they distributed kits for that.

Traci took some pictures of women with the bags we made. They take their medical supplies home in them. I was so happy to be able to help and appreciate the sisters at church and my mom who made them too!! They are so appreciated! |
The girls are making friends! Even with the older people!
This little lady looks like she's got quite the personality! |
I love this!!
Isabel asked her mother if she could get a job when she returns home and "can she come back if she makes her own money!" My heart is so full with love to see the girls serve in this manner! |
And the little children are adorable and seem to love my grand daughters! |
Such a wonderful experience for all three of them! |
I asked about the food ! They said it was not too bad. This meal consisted of a tortilla with a ground pork, pineapple and shredded cabbage on top! |
They say they eat a lot of fruit and the mango's are to die for! Simply delicious! They also eat plantains (a type of banana)
Traci said some of the people have given them a bag of mango's as a thank you! |
Such a memory these girls are making. I'm sure they will have a GREAT APPRECIATION for this great country we live in and feel how richly blessed we really are! I can't wait to hear all about their trip and the experiences they had when they return home next Monday! |
