RELIEF SOCIETY "GARDEN PARTY"

I feel like I just got done with one Outdoor Party and another one came on!  ...
WELL, IT DID!

Our Relief Society activity for August was a "Garden Party" ..... Sister's were asked to prepare a salad using ingredients from their garden (or Fred Meyer's garden...lol  whatever the case may be)
We met at Sister Laura Wilson's home. She had a lovely backyard with nice shade trees. Tony helped me pick up and deliver tables, canopies and a water mister, as soon as he got home from work. Each sister brought her own lawn chair. It was another HOT day!  I was sweating profusely before the activity even started. lol

Sister Bostrom brought long strips of cloth she had soaked in cool water and some of us draped them around our necks. It was amazing how much it helped. We had a good turnout to this activity too,  CONSIDERING THE HEAT! Again, about 22...(must be the magic number! lol)

We had some lovely salads, garlic and cheesy bread sticks and then Klynn Miller taught us about Dutch Oven Cooking. She prepared two desserts ahead of time in her oven Dutch ovens!  lol One was with peaches and the other was with Rhoades Cinnamon rolls and apples. Topped of with Ice-cream, it was delicious! It was a fun evening of just enjoying our bounties  (good food) and good company!  Fun evening! Hot but Fun!
