We got a late start Friday night., but we left immediately after Belle's track meet and Traci flew in her new BMW! We made it to Heather;s in 4 hours and 45 minutes!! WOW! The car is so smooth and it felt like we were driving 65 when in reality, we were going about 83 most of the way! Heather had made a trip earlier to Lorie's to pick up a book she had for me and Lorie knew we were going to be shopping for PROM DRESSES for Sophia, so she sent all of Amy's home with her. We got there at 11:45 and still had time to try on dresses before bed! lol |
WOW! Amy had about 7 or 8 really beautiful dresses and Sophia tried them all on! |
Some had been altered and had sleeves in them and some were still needing some alterations but alas....Sophia said they were just too fancy for her taste. She didn't want ruffles or sequins or beads on her dress so we folded them all back up and Lorie is going to come pick them up sometime. It was still fun to do after driving for a while! .....
OFF TO BED WE WENT! Gotta be ready for a BIG DAY of shop till ya drop! |
Got up Saturday morning, cleaned up and took a selfie just before leaving Heather;s house.
(Oh, by the way, Jon and the kids had left to go camping with his parents Friday morning so we had Heather's house to ourselves.....while Jon and the kids are away, the dirls will play!)
AND, look at the idiot grandmother who doesn't know where to look for a selfie! lol) |
We started off with breakfast at "WAFFLE LOVE" and love we did!! |
SO GOOD!!
Then we started at Fashion Place Mall to look for PROM DRESSES and the funny thing is, she bought the 1st one she tried on. She did try on about 3 or 4 but the 1st one (above) was the one she got! So pretty! |
Mom, was funny....had to peep while Sophia was in the dressing room! lol Pretty cool mommy!! |
After getting the dress, it was off to find a jacket, white shirt and pants for Isabel for HOSA! Heather tried on "Aviators" in remembrance of her dad! |
And we waited in a lobby of a dressing room while Sophia tried on a GOOD DEAL for another dance. Belle is a good little sister. She is so patient! |
And of course, time for selfies!! Check it out, I looked at the right spot! lol |
And a shot of my pretty baby girl! |
The girls couldn't pass up trying on some hideous shoes for fun!
AND I DO MEAN HIDEOUS! lol |
From fo gold patent leather to clear plastic and bejeweled boots! |
NICE, REAL NICE! .......NOT!
YOU LIKE?? |
Heather got in on the action with a pair of flats.....ugly but better than the boots! lol |
It was raining hard and steady when we left the mall and headed to CUBBY'S for lunch! Got a cute picture of Heather and two of her niece's! Awhhhhh! |
And here we are at Cubby's! Me, Isabel and Sophia!! |
And the DYNAMIC DUO! |
After lunch was over, the rain had subsided so we decided to drive up one of the canyons and hike to Bridal Falls! Seriously, not a hard walk but the girls had to play like it was killing them! I way winded a time or two, just trying to keep up with them! lol |
Found a nice lady to take a picture of us when we reached the falls! |
SISTER'S
I remember these two little rascals when they were just wee one's! How can they be this old??? |
And Sister's and Sister's!
Fun girls all the way around!
Love spending time with them! |
Mom and daughters!!
After our hike, we headed back down the canyon and it started raining again. Perfect timing! we went to a drug store ................ |
And bought a game and LOT'S OF GOODIES for our evening in!
After all, we hadn't eaten enough yet! lol |
Back at Heather's, we played "SPEAK OUT" and laughed our heads off! |
Everyone had fun trying to decipher what we were saying! |
Oh, and we all looked soooooo good! lol
Nice Dental work! |
Then we did facials that we had purchased at Target earlier in the day! I don't know how I didn't get pictures of the girls and theirs but this is essentially how ridiculous we looked. Although the girls were cats! I was suppose to be a Panda!
After our games and facials, we retired to Heather's Media Room and watched
"DECEIVED"
with Goldie Hawn. It's an older movie but it was good. We wanted to watch
"JUST GO WITH IT"
but couldn't find it at the store and it wasn't on NETFLIX so we settled for a thriller! The young girls fell asleep during it. I can't figure out why they were tired!! We only walked about 9 miles during the day! lol After the movie, we all hit the sack! |
We got up Sunday morning and Traci and the girls worked on a project that Isabel needed to get done for HOSA! Heather got out her new Cricut and cut a few things for her and before long they had everything ready to complete when they got home on Monday morning. I sat in the living room and read the BOM. Needed to get some kind of Sunday Worship in. Heather made the yummiest cinnamon rolls for breakfast. SOOOOO GOOD! |
Then off we went to TRAVERSE OUTLET MALLS .....
Traci bought two pair of Oakley sun glasses while these 3 opted for to try on some cheapies in a little fun store called Francesca's! |
I found this adorable cup (which I did not buy) but I loved the saying on it!! |
About mid morning, we had to hit the Pretzel shop and have a little snack but
SKINNY TRACI,
had to go to ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHOCOLATE FACTORY
and get two caramel apples for a little extra calories! lol
None of us complained! |
Mom and her shopping buddies!
SO CUTE!! |
Once we were done at the Outlet Malls, we hit IKEA . Traci had to make sure there wasn't an inch of space left in her trunk for the trip home! lol Then we went to Pizzeria Limone for lunch before we hit the road back to Idaho. It was really yummy! I had left over and took it home for hubbys lunch and he loved it too! |
We took Heather home to say our good byes! Jon and the kids were back from their camping trip so we got to see the kids before leaving! It totally warms my heart when the kids (all 3) yell my name..."GRAMDMA" and come running and hug my legs!!
Awhhhh, my heart melts!!
Mara is still loving the little Koala bear I gave her! |
This was kinda funny (and a little sad) ...Sophia had a dinosaur pillow pet and Belle had a Stitch, that they left on the couch when we left in the morning! Rowan LOVES DINOSAURS and he and Sawyer were playing with them when we arrived. He asked, (so excitedly) "Who gave us these?" and his mom had to explain that they were the girls.....He just said "awh" with a little sadness in his voice. Now I know what he'd like for a gift! lol |
Sawyer and Stitch ...So cute!! |
Jon took some pics of us and our
"GIRLS WEEKEND"
came to a close as we 4 headed back to Idaho!
It was so much fun and I love spending some one on one with my daughters and 2 of my granddaughters.
It was 4 years since we had our 1st one. Not sure when we can do it again but sometime........ |

Had so much fun. We may not get to do another one until after your mission... which means Sophie and Bell will be graduated from high school- crazy! But WE WILL do another one. Love you, thanks for making it happen!
