FRIDAY FUN DAY!~

We got up around 8 this morning and headed to the gym.
The sun was out but it was a brisk 30 something degrees!

I walked the outside path as it may not be happening too many more days! Possible rain tomorrow and next week is supposed to be quite cool! We'll see!
I have started extending my walk by going to the back of the rec center and then back out to the path. This tree has dropped a ton of leaves! lol Glad I'm not cleaning it up! I got my 10,000 plus and then went to the car to wait for Tony.  When we got home, I made scrambled egg and biscuits. Then Tony went out to work on cutting the wood for the area around the transformer at Shawn and Joyce's house.

I par boiled and skinned the tomatoes I had ripening in the house so I could freeze them. I used a few in a hamburger soup for lunch.

Tony was busy in the back yard. After I got the tomatoes done and the dishes from breakfast in the dishwasher, I started on making caramel apples.

I got 3 toppings ready to dip the bottoms in. Coconut, crushed pecans and a Butterfinger crushed mix I had in the freezer.

I made  my own caramel rather than melt a bag of caramels from the store. I think it may be cheaper than buying several bags and I'm sure it will be tastier!!  At least I hope it will!

When I got the  caramel done, I let it sit about 5 minutes and then started dipping. I got 15 done with sticks. That's all I had so had to use a fork on two of them! lol

Then I had some caramel left so I mixed what was left of the Butterfinger mix and the nuts and poured it out on the parchment paper. When cooled, I cut it into squares and wrapped them in candy paper.

Didn't make very many but that's a good thing.
I took a butternut squash, a card, a recipe and an apple to Kaitlin Rice. It's her birthday today! When I got home, I ate hamburger soup and now I'm relaxing.  Just got back from Lynn's. Tony had to go over and get her furnace working so I brought her an apple. Joyce was just getting there, She walked over. I told her I'd bring an apple to her as well.  Now, I'll bring two to the Jarrett's and then get ready for bed!  Temple shift in the morning!
