Got up this morning and made pancakes for the kids again! Tony and I had to leave at 8am to go to the Meridian Temple to clean. We had signed up a week or so ago, before I knew Heather & the kids would be here. I got a couple of pictures just before we left!
Heather was a sport and let me take her picture as well. It's hard to get a good nights rest with kids who wake up before the sun! lol Tony and I took off because we had to be at the temple at 8:45. Heather and the kids were going to see if Gavin was available to have breakfast or lunch with.
We were at the temple till noon. I started cleaning upstairs in the entry and main waiting room, when I was asked if I could go down to the locker rooms to help. NO PROBLEM! I finished my morning, cleaning all the lockers in Women's and Men's dressing rooms. Then I vacuumed the hall and then dusted and vacuumed the room where we meet each Saturday for Prayer meeting. I was almost to start on the halls when Tony came down from upstairs and he finished helping me with the halls. It was a joy to be serving in a different capacity in the temple. Always so good to be there!
When we finished, we came home and changed into gym clothes so we could go to the Rec Center and do our exercise. It was a gorgeous day! I walked outside and on my 3rd lap, they started blowing out the sprinkler system!!
There was a lot of water in some of the lines and I got a bit wet a couple of times. I quit for a while & read my book in the car and then went again till Tony finished. We then went to Les Schwab to have our tire fixed. They said it would take an hour so we walked to Fred Meyers and walked around a bit and then walked to McDonalds and ate a fish sandwich for lupper! We were getting hungry. It was about 4 in the afternoon by then!
Walking to Fred Meyer's we spotted a good sized Praying Mantis. However, he was gone on our walk back. We picked up the car and then went to wash it and vacuum it out. Came home and now, I'm doing laundry and Tony is cutting up wood to take to the Lovelands. It was extra stuff from his mom's house that is not good for anything but burning. It's been a busy day. I've got to go fold and get another load in. Then, time to relax!! Heather made it home safe so now I can quit worrying. At least about the drive.
