I am so thankful for this little tree Lynn bought me a couple of years ago for Christmas. I keep it up year round and call it my
"Jesus Tree"
This year, due to my illness and the inability to decorate like I love to, this is it! Last year after Christmas, Lynn was in Utah with the twins and she got a killer deal on several large Nativities after the holidays. She asked the girls and Tony if they wanted one . For some reason Diane turned it down so she bought one for us, herself and Deb. After Diane saw them, she wanted one but they were out!
You snooze you lose!
They were all 3 different but I absolutely love ours!
My dear sweet husband knows how much I love Christmas so he bought me a HUGE POINSETTA! It is gorgeous! Then my friend Jorjette, bought me a small one I have on the kitchen table. This morning, Joyce brought over hers for us to babysit while she is gone for the holidays with her kids. SO, my house is somewhat festive!
I got some ornaments at the Ornament Exchange I missed this year because I was sick. Tony brought mine over to Jorjette's house, and then the day after the party, she brough the 5 I got to my house. I want to attach them to the wreath but quite honestly have not had the energy to do it! It is what it is!
We had planned on going to the Electricians luncheon today. It's their Christmas party and before I got ill, we volunteered to make 15 pounds of mashed potatoes for the party. Its a gift exchange as well and we had our gifts wrapped and ready to go a week ago. SO, I told Tony he needed to go without me. I walked him through making the mashed potatoes with butter and cream cheese. He put them in my roaster oven for easier transport and to keep them warm.
We had to borrow a big pot from Joyce to get them all done. Then he had to mix three different bowls in the mixer.
He's such a cute little cook! Awhhh, I love this man! He is such a BIG HELP to me! I told him to bring me home a plate for dinner and he said "OF COURSE!"
Our friends, The Andersons, were there with him and Meegan sent me these pictures. He looks so lonely without me. I'm so glad they are there to sit with him.
Can't wait for my "Take home plate". Mmmmm
The past two days there are a couple of hooligans banging on our front door at 7:30 or so. Yesterday, we were both asleep. I was on the couch when I heard the 1st big BANG, it scared me! I thought something had fallen off the wall in the living room. I went and looked and saw nothing so went back to the couch and tried to fall back to sleep. Then there were TWO BIG BANGS! Again I got up and looked and checked out the front window. Nothing. Went back to the couch when a 3rd time there was another BIG BANG! This time I went upstairs and asked Tony if he'd heard it. He was asleep and had not! I looked out the bedroom window as did he and we saw two boys across the street at the Jarrett's house doing the same thing. Little shisters!! I thought about being in the living room tomorrow morning to catch them, but I now have an appointment at 7:55 am in Meridian to get one of the lesions biopsied. I did text Suzette to see if they were home when they did it at her house and she said she was ,and did hear it as well. She wondered what we should do. Any ideas? lol
