Friday morning, Tony and I got up early. It had snowed quite a bit (maybe 3 inches) and we needed to be at the dermatologist by 10 to 8. We got there plenty early and got the paperwork done, & the procedure done and were home by 9:30. They took a biopsy on both legs. I was pretty stressed with anticipation, but it wasn't too bad! UNCOMFORTABLE but not unbearable!
Traci came over when we got home, to put my hair in braids and to help me read my hospital charts. We had a great visit and I was so appreciative of her help. Tony had gone to the gym and she said someone was shoveling our walks. I stepped out on the door step to find Patrick ( our next door neighbor ) He asked me how I was doing? I didn't even know he knew, I was ill. Anyway, I thanked him and told him how much I appreciated him.
Last night I was waiting on the couch for Tony to finish showering and we were going to read scriptures. The front door bell rings, so I got up to answer it. There stood Patrick with a Poinsettia and a get well card! Then he looks past me to the BIG Poinsettia Tony gave me on the end table. Then his gaze goes to the kitchen table where I have Joyce's plant and one small one from Jorjette. He laughs and say's "I guess you really didn't need a poinsettia." I told him I was taking care of the big one for Joyce and I really appreciated his! I told him I wasn't able to decorate and put up a tree so I appreciated the flowers. It made my home feel festive~
Just so thoughtful!
It was a rough night. I've had diarrhea since I got home from the hospital. Its stressing me out. I was reading about C-diff. It said you can get it if: ONE, You've been in the hospital. TWO, You've been on antibiotics. THREE, You're over 65 and FOUR, You're immune system is compromised. I check all four boxes!!
I had Tony get me some Keifer and I started drinking that. I had already been taking probiotics. I'm trying to be extra careful and eat wisely! I hope and pray I'll be OK.
Tony got up and went to the temple this morning and I tried to sleep. I'd been getting up so frequently to use the bathroom, that I got very little sleep. He left around 5am and I got up 8 to use the bathroom again!!! I made myself a piece of toast with peanut butter and drank some more keifer. When Tony got home he made me a sandwich and some carrot stix and a celery stick with peanut butter. I sure hope I can kick this soon. Getting depressed about it all.
