Well, Kate and Austin didn't get away till after Austin finished work yesterday so they said they wouldn't show up till after 1am. I told them I'd leave the light on but I needed to go to bed. They understood and didn't expect me to stay up. Bless their hearts. As it was, I couldn't fall asleep, cuz it's like a parent waiting for their kid to get home from a date or something. lol Once I heard them come in, I was out like a light. lol They got up around 9 this morning and packed up and left for Astoria.
I wanted to make them breakfast but they insisted on getting on the road and said they'd packed a lot of food.
So I was able to get a couple of pictures and off they went!
So glad they have a place to stop and rest up a bit so the drive isn't horrible. Provo to Astoria is too much in one day!! They will stop on the way home after New Years is over. Excited to see them again!
Tony called me after he got out of the Temple. He said it was awesome and that Joyce had 4 generations in the Temple with her today! What a great blessing! So happy for her. Afterwards they went to Olive Garden (the one where Tony and I had our 1st date) and had lunch. Tony called me and asked me what I wanted so he brought me home spaghetti! It was so good! Haven't had that dish in a long while and it was delicious! Sure appreciated it!
Nikki and Deedra stopped by for a visit! I was so excited to see them! Nikki has been away at Art school in Tacoma Washington and is home for Christmas. I was hoping to see her and they accommodated me ! MADE MY DAY!~
We had a great visit before they took off to do some last minute things for Alice's 6th birthday which they are celebrating tonight.
So happy for the visit!!
Dave is playing Santa with his grandkids (all but one) this Christmas. He sent me this picture! No wonder the Mall's wanted to hire him again this year! He's the
REAL DEAL!!
Deedra sent me pictures of Alice's party!
Cinnamon Donuts!! SWEET!
Alice and her daddy!!
And that beautiful smile! SCORE! Wished we'd been able to be there to help her celebrate but it wasn't in the cards this year. The boys are still not feeling well and I can't chance it. My blisters on my feet are starting to dry and crack and are kinda sore. I creamed them up good just now and that helps a bit! It's been a good day all in all. The visit sure helped and the texts from siblings.
Then I got the "Cherry on Top" when Heather sent me pictures of the Larson grandkids in their New Christmas Jammies~"
WITH SANTA CLAUSE NO LESS!!
And in front of their tree!
It's been a good day!
Thank family for making my Christmas a little
BRIGHTER!
