JOEL'S MEMORIAL SERVICE

I'm not sure I am ever going to get a good nights rest again. Its is just so frustrating to be bone tired, sleep 3 hours and then be
WIDE AWAKE!!  I read for awhile when I woke up, and then fell asleep for an hour and a 1/2 and up again for the day! I got dressed  and ready for the day. Got some cards ready to mail, cleaned the house a bit and at 11:45 got tuned into Zoom so I could watch Joel's funeral service.

It came in great. Stillman gave the opening prayer after some beautiful music. I couldn't see who was singing because the camera never moved off the pulpit but it was still beautiful.  Tom Yule from Missoula and a good friend of Joel's (and a friend of mine years ago) gave the life sketch.

It's been so long that I didn't even recognize him. I kept thinking "I know that guy from somewhere" but just couldn't place the face till they introduced him. He did a great job. There was another musical number and then Jethlyn, Joel's eldest daughter spoke.

She did a fantastic job! She paid such a great tribute to her father. I don't know how she held it together but she did.
She told funny stories and had us laughing and said some sentimental things that had us crying. It was just so good! It lasted an hour and was an hour well spent. After the service, I went back to reading. Then early this afternoon, it started to rain.

I knew the wind blew like crazy last night but when I stepped out to see the rain, the patio was a mess. Plants blew over and fake leaves all over thee place. Peels of paint but I don't know where from.

Almost done with this book so will finish it today so I can start the other one Cynthia gave me to read.
