We slept in this morning, a bit...I think we got up a little after eight. I took my time getting dressed and cleaned up. I was feeling a bit nauseous. Not sure what was wrong but I was thinking I was hungry. Once I was dressed and ready, I wasn't feeling like any big cooking
meal so we settled for a bowl of cereal. I felt somewhat better but
after eating, I reclined on the couch and rested again. We listened to the Priesthood/Relief Society lesson on the phone and then we turned on YouYube and listened to our favorite LDS programs. Music & the Spoken Word, and some talks. Heard a super good one by Elder Bednar. We are going to listen to it again this evening!
YES, that good!!
Tony rode to choir practice with Joyce and I drove over at 1:15. It was a bit overcast but not cold. It was 40 something. The new family in our ward (The Rings) spoke and they were both so good. And I love when people tell their backgrounds and how they met etc. It was a good meeting. And RS was awesome. Klynn taught today and she is always awesome!! Love her!! Lubov (my Russian friend) came today and it's been a while since I've seen her. I invited her to dinner with us and she was excited to come over. After we got out, I had to hurry home (which took a little time, as my sweet hubby was visiting with his group he is going to sing with at Easter. I finally interrupted him and told him I needed to get home and get the quiche' in the oven!
We got home and I hurried and got it put together and in the oven/
I put the cookies on the cookie sheets and had them ready to go as soon as the quiche and the muffins came out.
The ladies and Tony were patient and waited in the back room and watched Gerald Halverson speaking at a Fireside while dinner cooked!
The muffins were finally done, so I put them in the bowl and we waited for the quiche' to finish cooking!!
The weather started a nice pelting snow/rain mix. ENOUGH to hear it pelting the windows!! It turned to BIG snowflakes and then back to lightly snowing.
In between sitting on the couch and waiting for the Quiche to finish, getting up to check the oven and then sitting down again and waiting!! (You have to be patient cooking quiche) I was getting annoyed! lol
Finally, it was time to eat!! I had told Lubov
NOT TO BRING ANYTHING,
but she is very gracious, so she brought over a
"Russian Winter Salad"
It was so very sweet of her but it didn't really go with quiche. It was sourcrout and peas. lol We all had some and as well as bran muffins and bacon and cheese quiche and orange juice. Then we had potato chocolate chip cookies and ice-cream. It was a nice dinner and we had a great visit with Lubov. She left about 6PM because she has to go to bed at 7, so she can get up at 3am and be to work by 4am. I'm so glad I invited her to join us! She wants to come over sometime and we will cook a Russian dinner together. If we can stick to Borche (which is a stew) which I'm OK with but to be perfectly honest, I wasn't all that fond of the Russian salad. I'm still burping it up! The funny thing is, she also brought over a can of sardines!! I just got rid of the 4 cans I had given to Scott, yesterday. lol Guess he gets one more!! Lubov tried to tell me how good they are on buttered bread with Kiwi fruit! We'll see! Lubov left and we are now watching Elder Bednar's talk again! Love it!
