SUNDAY, BREAK THE FAST, LINGER LONGER

Tony left for church at 11:45 to practice with his men's quartet for Easter. I was going to leave at 1:15 so I could put the baked beans in the oven and then they wouldn't cook for too terribly long. Then Joyce called me and asked if I was picking her up? I said I could but I thought she and Lynn were going to choir practice. She said that Tony had told her I was taking her. I said that was fine and I would pick her up at 1:15. Then about 12:35 or so she called me and said she was going to pick up Lynn and go to choir practice because Curtis and Deedra had just left. lol It was a confusing morning. At 1:10, I get a text from my friend Lubov, asking if I can pick her up. She said her car was broken. She's Russian and her English isn't real clear. I told her I was leaving in a few minutes and I would come get her. I left and got to her apartment and texted her telling her I was in front of her place. All of a sudden, she comes walking up the driveway into their apartment and she was crying and out of breath. She had walked down the street to Orchard and I had no idea she wasn't at her house. I found out that she totaled her car last Thursday. She passed out in her car and hit  house. (well actually another apartment building in her area) I guess her blood pressure got really high and she just passed out. She showed me after church the building she hit. I feel so bad for her. She sure struggles. We went to church and afterwards, we came home so I could get my baked beans. Lubov had made a salad and taken it to the church already. We went back and me and another sister got the water pictures filled while the men set up tables and chairs. I also got out the paper plates and plastic wear and cups out of the RS closet. People were coming in and setting up their dishes on a couple of long tables at the front.
We figured about 60 or 65 showed up. Some were a little late but all in all it was a good turnout. Afterwards,  everyone pitched in and we cleaned up. Came home and dropped Lubov off at her place. Lynn said Tammy had called and wanted to come over and play games. I had a headache and was not feeling all that good but told Tony I would go till 7:30 and then I wanted to come home. Neither one of us slept all that good last night and it was starting to get to me.

We played SKIPBO for several games and then played UNO. Deedra called to tell us about their trip home. (Glad they made it safe)  During the last of SKIPBO, little Tony was getting whiney and complaining cuz Gramma was trying to help him play. Evidently, he didn't want any help!! It was getting on Big Tony's nerves and he made some comment about it being our last game. So I told him we needed to leave anyway to go home and find items for Penny Smith. (She just got out of the shelter and into an apartment and needed bedding, towels etc. So Lynn said she could help. She gave 2 garbage cans and a couple of washclothes and a towel.  We came home and I got out some bedding, towels, bath mats and pillows. She is coming by tomorrow afternoon to pick things up.
I then baked a sheet of cookies, we watched the LAST EPISODE of Hawaii Five O and now are going to bed. I'm bushed!!
