Since it's General Conference weekend and we are not working Saturday (tomorrow) AND we had three doctor appointments this week and couldn't go on Thursday (like we usually do) we went to the temple today. We all did an endowment and then us three ladies did initiatory while Tony did a 2nd endowment session. We had quite a while to wait after our initiatory was done so I made some trips around the temple and took pictures.
I even saw a cute little squirrel who was spending
a little time on the grounds!
I love this view at the side of the temple with the pond. Things are starting to look springy. The snow is all melted and the grass is starting to green up and the trees are getting buds.
I did a selfie and YEAH, I'm not a selfie kind of girl. But, I'm never in most of the pictures I take so I did a pose. lol
I walked over to the opposite side of the temple from the pond side (near the road) and took a pictures.
Then I walked to the front of the temple. After getting the pictures, I went back in and the ladies were waiting in the main waiting room. I gathered up their bags and mine and took them out to the temple and shortly after, Tony finished and we came home. Tony changed and went to the gym and I got busy working on dinner. We had invited our friends over for dinner and games. The Gleason's have sold their home and are moving back to California so they can be by their grandkids. The Gleason's are the family we bought our bathroom cabinets from. We have been good friends ever since. We also had the Bostrom's over as well. I made a pork roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls and cream puffs for dessert. Jorjette made fried corn (it was really good) and Denise made a wonderful salad. After we ate, we played Golf . Jorjette's mother is dying. She is 102 and 1/2 and not doing well at all, so after a few rounds of Golf, they left.
We then changed to Mexican Train and played that with the Gleason's till 9:15. It was a nice evening. We will miss the Gleason's. They are a fun couple and great friends!
IT WAS A GREAT DAY!~
