What a busy day for both of us!! We went to the gym 1st. I listened to my the talk by Elder Bednar on the Holy Ghost the entire time. That's what I'm speaking on Sunday! I absolutely LOVE that talk! When we got home, we ate a piece of toast and then Tony headed to the yard to spade the garden and then rototill.
It was a BIG JOB!!
But he got right to it and it was a bit windy but a beautiful sunny day! I got ready to go to Silver Sweethearts. I called a Sister in the ward who made a very negative comment in RS this past Sunday about not having friends etc. I asked if she would like to go with me and she said she would. So I picked her and Wanetta Anderson up.
Before leaving, I took a picture of my beautiful tree.
I could see petals blowing off it in the wind which makes me sad. The bee's are humming around it and I hope it lasts for a while. This afternoon, our neighbor came over and said he wants to replace the dead tree in their yard with the same tree. That will be gorgeous to have two blossoming cherry trees right close together. Hope he does.
I took off and picked up Wanetta 1st and then went to get Carol. The event was lovely! It was a Hawaiian Luau.
The ward in charge did a fantastic job on the decorations and the food, and there was such a good turnout!
There was Mom Norton, Joyce, Donna, Carol, Elizabeth, Wanetta and me at our table. There were some other members of our ward but they sat a few tables away.
I wished I got the Sister's name (other than Loreen) that did the entertainment. Her and her daughter did a fabulous job. She taught us Hawaiian words, all about their instruments and of course the dance.
They were so graceful and it was a lovely afternoon and luncheon.
After it was over with, I took the ladies home. I got an extra passenger when Joyce Glattlie asked for a ride too. It was fun. When I got home Lubov cake over and I drove her to St. Luke's to pay her imagining bill and then I took her to Costco to pick out her frames for her reading glasses. She is sure picky. lol I try on about two pair and say "this will do" when she must have tried on 20 pair. I'm Serious!! Finally, she decided on a pair and we got it taken care of. They will be ready in 5 to 10 days. I'll probably have to drive her back to get them as she is a little scared to drive very far since her accident when she passed out. I was hoping to get a picture of Tony rototilling the garden but he was done by the time I got home. When I did get home, I got a hot compress and put it on my eye. I have a big ole sty and it is killing me. The compress seemed to help.
He finished spading when I left to take Lubov to the hospital and to Costco.....
And was done when I got home! He was so happy to be finished. He got over 40 thousand steps today with all the work he got done. He is one tired puppy. He just left to go help Brother Francis get a twin bed at DI for his wife who just had surgery, and I am headed to the church for Relief Society.
RS was only an hour tonight and I was glad about that. I am tired too. It was a fun evening sharing two things that were some of our favorite things. They were tied up in brown paper packages. Cute huh? They did the left to right story where if you ended up with a bag, you opened it and then guessed who it belonged to and then they explained why the two items were some of their favorite things.
Then they had milk and cookies, bananas and grapes for a treat. Short but sweet...just the way I like them! lol
I came home and Tony and I finished watching THE VOICE and then went to bed to read our scriptures and get some shut eye.
