BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS!

Tony, Lynn, Joyce & I went to the temple this morning. We didn't get it scheduled in time to do Sealings and Initiatory so us ladies did 2 endowment  sessions with Tony. It was a nice day.
I  love the temple grounds in the Spring. They really know how and what to plant! I am in love with this small flowering tree. The colors are breathtaking!

Reminds me of a beautiful spring dress fabric!!  Love it so much!

I walked down the main sidewalk to the end and took a picture of the tulips and pansies while Tony got the two ladies loaded into the car.

I can't tell you how grateful  am to be in the Meridian Temple District. It is so photo friendly. I love the Boise Temple as well and the grounds are gorgeous but it just seems like this one is larger and easier to take photo's. LOVE, Love, love it!
Lynn asked us if we wanted to stop and get a burger on the way home but I told her Nikki and I were making sour dough bread and then Tony reminded her that the guys that did her garage floor were coming at 2 to see what went wrong. Evidently, one side of the garage is not drying properly and they are going to have to fix it.

I got out the items needed for the bread and put Nikki to work. She got it all mixed up while I fried bacon for our Quiche' dinner. Once she got done mixing it up, we realized it is a recipe that raises all night long! lol  It actually worked out well because tomorrow I am making a chicken rice soup and we will have fresh sour dough bread to eat with it. lol  we were having so much fun talking that I forgot one cup of cream in the Quiche mixture. I got it all put together and thought, "Why isn't the liquid covering all the cheese like it normally does"?  Then realized I forgot it called for 2 cups of cream and I only put one in. Grrrrrr, I poured a cup of cream on the top and hoped for the best. It actually turned out OK. Nikki loved it and so I copied the recipe for her. She thanked us for letting her stay with us the week. I told her we were happy to have her and she is welcome anytime.

Tony was at the gym and since our bread has to raise all night, we made paper purses. We each did two. Something to do while Tony is gone and dinner is cooking. After we finished them, Nikki went to lay down. The heat makes her tired.

Her two and mine in the back. I had made another houndstooth purse and Nikki told me I needed to do a different pattern. I told her to pick out the paper for me so she picked out the wood looking one with the blue trim. she's got a good eye. I cleaned up the kitchen and then got the table set for dinner. Once Tony was home from the gym, he changed and then we ate.
Nikki liked it so much, she had two slices. I printed off the recipe for her. I also gave her my small George Forman grill. I have two of them and only need one. She sent a text to her roomies to make sure they would all use it. They said, "Yeah, go for it!"
Nikki is so sweet to take her dishes to the sink and rinse them and then put them in the dishwasher. She's a great kid! I decided to work on my blog and then I am going out to plant my Marigolds and some Snap Dragon's in the garden area.
I was working on my blog and the door bell rang. Tony answered it and it was Lubov again. lol  She brought me a key to her apartment in case she locks herself out again and also stuffed peppers. Tony's favorite.....NOT!~  She is so sweet and I told her she didn't need to bring me food but she thinks she needs to repay me. She wanted us to eat them RIGHT NOW, but I told her we'd already eaten! She made me promise I'd try it before it gets cold! After she left, I went out and helped Tony hang some Squirrel repellant balls that we ordered from Amazon. They are supposed to repel the squirrels and keep them out of my pots!! I sure hope they work! I am sick of the little buggers getting into my flowers and digging holes or digging up my bulbs!!  Then I planted some Snap Dragons along the back of the fence and the Marigolds in the front of the garden.
It's been a good day. Nikki is going out again to spend time with friends tonight.  I'm just gonna chill the rest of the evening. Maybe watch a little TV.
