A NICE SURPRISE VISIT

I was having such a nice dream this morning about my dad. I didn't want to wake up! However, Tony came up (and it WAS  8:30) and he got ready to go to the gym. Pat wasn't going to be there today because she was getting her teeth cleaned and her hair done..... so I stayed home and worked on my lesson for Sunday.

I don't have as easy a time giving a lesson as Tony does so I wanted to have some time alone so I could verbalize it to myself.  I washed my bedspread and then sat down to read.  After going over the lesson a few times, I decided to make myself some sourdough blueberries pancakes for breakfast. I had to feed my sourdough starter yesterday so I took out a cup of it to put in the pancake batter.

As I was sitting at the table, I took a picture of my Amaryllis. The bloom is opening a bit each day and it looks like there will be three flowers on this one stem. I got my pancake cooked and sat down to eat. Then I got a text from Katelynn. She asked me what I was doing and did I want to go to lunch with her. LOL   I sent her a text telling her I was eating blueberry pancakes and did she want to come for breakfast.  She text that she would be right over.  Good to her word, she was at my door in a matter of minutes. I asked how she got there so quickly. She said she had been out walking. She set a goal at the beginning of the year to walk 5 miles a day and lose weight. She has been walking every morning and so she walked over. She'd already walked a little over 4 miles. She came in and I fixed her a couple of pancakes. Tony got home shortly after and so I made him a couple as well. We had a good visit and she told us that she is trying to get a job in the kitchen at the hospital. Then she wants to go to school to be a phlebotomist. I sure hope she gets it and starts going forward with her life. She is doing so much better than she had in the past.

Tony took a picture of us together before she walked home and got the rest of her milage for the day.  Man, I look short next to her.
I'm shrinking......   After she left and I cleaned up the kitchen, I went over my lesson papers again.

I got a text from Pat and she sent me a picture. She got her hair highlighted and she looks great. I can't wait to get mine done but my appointment isn't till February 17th.  She is such a sweet friend and she is as generous as she is kind. I am so graceful for our friendship.
I've got a meeting tonight for Relief Society so will relax until then. Will make a salad for lunch and watch some TV.
