THE SABBOTH

Today is Sunday and we go to church at noon till 2 this year. It's the 1st Sunday we've been back due to our being sick for a couple of weeks. It felt good to be back with our Ward Saints.  Tony and I were the facilitators for the lesson in Priesthood and Relief Society. Mine went very well and I had a lot of class participation so I was happy.
After church, we went to Lynn's to get her mail put in the house. Tony also checked her heat and checked her refrigerator. When we got home, it was 2:30 and I was supposed to be at the Boyer's house at 3 for David's unveiling of his new painting.  I hurried and fried some rotisserie chicken and put it on an Asian salad. They finally started selling them at Costco again AND we love them!!
Then I hurried off to the unveiling at the Boyer home. Tony didn't go because he had a Priesthood meeting here at thee house at 4.

David had his son pose as Jesus and then 4 of their grandchildren posed as the children. They had a professional photographer take several pictures and then he chose the one he wanted to paint. He went through a slide show depicting the painting from start to finish. How he draws all the lines on the canvas, then sketches in the people, etc. It was really interesting and so cool to see what transpired. when he was finished, he and his wife Lisa unveiled the painting.

They had a BIG turnout there at their home and I saw the Bostrom's and the Bugby's. A lot of the people are from their new ward and some of his art students were there as well.

It was fun to be there and to hear all about the process. After coming home, Tony was just beginning his meeting. So I came up to my craft room to work on my blog.

I'm having bookclub at my house this month. It was supposed to be this coming Thursday but we postponed it a week because Tony and I have a meeting with the Insurance man and it might go late. I bought a bunch of cute "Old Lady" bookmarkers to hand out to the sisters who are there. I still don't have the book. I was hoping it would be at the Library this past weekend but so far I haven't heard.
