KIND OF A RESTFUL DAY!!

Pat had a eye appointment today at 9:10 so we decided to go to the gym later.....when she finished. Tony and I left for Costco at 8:45 to pick up a prescription that was ready for me. Then we washed the car and headed to my eye doctor to have my new glasses adjusted. They were putting big indents on my nose. She put new silicone pads on and it seems to have helped. Then we headed for the gym. Tony wanted to get started because he was lifting weights as well. I waited in the car for Pat but it was just too hot today, so I went in and got on an elliptical bike till she got there. We only walked 3 miles today but I rode for two so there's that. lol
We went home, changed and then went to pick up Lynn and head to VERIZON. We were thinking of getting new phones.  We had to wait about 15 minutes to get waited on and there was a woman at our table that got really nasty with the young woman who was helping her. Finally, the young employee said she would get the manager and he could help her. Before the manager came, she turned to us and went off about all the fraud she was dealing with and how stupid kids were and how they didn't know anything, and then she said she had a bunch of death threats and the sheriff wasn't doing anything about it. She was so nasty, I totally understood the threats, if in fact it was real.  We were saved from listening to her any longer, when the manager came and then she went off on him. He was good!! He told her he didn't appreciate her disrespecting his team and would she please be kind. She tamed down a bit but she was a total beotch!! The man that came to help us went over things and we decided to keep our phones until a better deal comes along. He said around the holidays is the best time to look to upgrade. We left and the nasty woman was still there giving the manager a bad time. It made me so glad to be retired and not working with that type of people.

It was around 4 in the afternoon so Lynn said she'd treat us to lunch at ARBY'S right next to the VERIIZON store. Tony said he would rather go to Chick Fil A. lol Afterall, it's been 2 weeks since he's been there. lol They changed their packaging and it's really cute.

The flower vases have even been painted. SO CUTE!
When we got home, I grabbed my tub of scrap paper and my dies and started cutting various sizes of circles.

It's a good way to get rid of scraps and believe me, I have a ton! I was cutting out patterned paper and then decided to get my solid scraps and cut some different dies.

I got quite a few cut while we were watching
 AMERICA'S GOT TALENT,
AND RELAXING!

Tony worked on a new puzzle he got for Father's Day from Colby and Cindy. It was funny. When Pat and I got home from Silver Sister's on Tuesday, this package was on our porch. I opened it and the puzzle was inside but there was nothing to tell us where or who it came from. I thought Tony had ordered it. When I showed him, he said he had not. I called Diane and asked if she'd sent it and she said she hadn't. We had no idea where it came from until Colby called and asked if he'd received his Father's Day gift, and apologised because it was late. NOT A PROBLEM! It was just so sweet of them.
Other than listening to the nasty woman at the Verizon store, it's been a very nice day and it was nice to stay inside out of the heat.
GOD IS GOOD!
