NOVEMBER !!!

Four days into November already!!
It's gone and is going fast! Sunday was nice and Tony and I had a good day together. We picked up Robin for church. I told her she'd have to go an hour early because we are practicing for the Christmas program. She said that was OK and then after Sacrament meeting, she said she was dizzy and sick to her stomach and needed to go home. I had Primary and Tony had to go to Priesthood so Brother Law took her home. We came home and I made a Bean soup that Deedra told me about (and it was good) and cornbread muffins. I also made cinnamon rolls which were delicious! We watched several church programs and relaxed. It was heaven!

Trying to have a better attitude about everything.
This is a perfect reminder!

Monday, we went to the gym. This little man has started coming to the gym with his little dog. He's a cute little fella until he crapped on the floor beside the entrance to the track. Someone had to tell the owner or it would still be there. lol  But, he stays with his owner without a leash and doesn't bother anyone.
We came home and I did some laundry and we went to Costco for some groceries. Debbie and Lynn were driving home and would be home late. I planned to feed them on Tuesday because Lynn wouldn't have a lot of necessities when they got home. They arrived back in Nampa around 8:30 at night.

Tuesday, we went to the gym early and afterwards, we picked up Lynn and went to the library to vote. After taking Lynn home, I went home and cleaned up the house and set the table for lupper.

The latch on the hatch (I'm a poet)  of our car has not been working for a long time. It won't open. Well once in a while but not always. It's been a pain in the neck. The Ford dealership was going to charge us around $500 to fix it. So, Tony was talking to Stillman and he said he had just fixed the same thing on Michelle's truck. He googled it and told Tony to do the same. So we ordered the part and it came on Tuesday morning.

Tony watched the video and then got busy. It took him about an hour and it works beautifully.  He paid $40 bucks for the part so it saved us a ton! Thank you Stillman for the advise.

I worked on cards I had been making over the past few days.  Mostly done but some need some more embellismnets.
Lynn and Debbie came over about 4PM. I made a Swiss and bacon quiche. I cut up some banana, apple and grapes to go with it. When we finished eating, Lynn wanted to play games!! SHOCK!!
I loaded the dishwasher and cleaned the table and Tony got out the cards. We played GOLF for quite a while and then had a cinnamon roll. I asked Deb if she had ever seen
YOUNG GEORGE WASHINGTON.
She hadn't, so we moved to the living room and watched it. She thoroughly enjoyed it. After it was over, it was time for them to leave. We went to bed and today, (Wednesday) Tony and I went to the gym early! Got there at 7am and Pat wasn't able to come because of a doctor appointment. I walked 2 miles and rode the elliptical for 5. When we got home, we cleaned up and got to Lynn's at 10:15. Deb was still in her PJ's but they were eating breakfast. I sat in the living room and read my book till they were ready to go to Nyssa.
Debbie and Lynn wanted to go see Ada and Mel. Ada is Lynn's sister. It takes about 45 minutes to get there and we left around 11:30.

We visited in the living room for a while and Mel was proud to talk about his yard and garden. He has two walnut trees and he went down to his freezer and brought up 2 big gallon bags of walnuts he had shelled and froze. Then he took us out to the garage and showed us his project for winter!!
LOOK AT ALL THOSE NUTS!!
Mel had 4 cute little kittens in the garage.

They were crawling around our feet and so cute. I picked up two and Lynn had one and Mel had one. They were adorable.

We put them in a box Mel had for them and they have such sharp claws that they climbed up the box and out again. lol
Mel gathered them up and then put a couple of wire covers over the top of the box. They were fun to play with. We went in, washed our hands and then sat down for lunch. Ada made a salad with chicken and homemade croutons and a delicious homemade dressing. Mel made 3 different kinds of ice-cream. It was a lovely lunch and a nice visit. They had a granddaughter who lives in Caldwell come to visit after we'd eaten. We had been there for quite a while so we said our goodbyes and headed back to Nampa. Tony wanted to stop at Tammy's so Lynn and Debbie could see her. She just had a surgery on her parathyroid so we didn't stay long. I was ready to call it a day. We dropped them off and came home. We have to take Deb to the airport in the morning so until then.
GOD IS GOOD!~
