NEVER ASSUME

Never assume your always healthy ....... I volunteered to give blood on Monday night after work. I was reminded when I got home and heard the answering machine saying " LaVerne, you were suppose to give blood at 4:30. We can still take you if you get here soon" ..... I jumped back in the car ... rushed to the church .... opps, wrong building .... jumped back in the car, rushed to the Stake House. Go through all the pre-procedures ..... then they stick me to see if I'm "good to give" ...... no, your anemic. BUT, we can stick the other finger, sometimes that works ......
OK, that's what I came for so go ahead and stick the other hand ..... No, it's worse than the 1st stick. GO HOME! I've decided that since I've got older, I'm not a very good doner. The time before this, my vein collapsed so I was sent packing then too.
Never assume that just because it's "SPRING BREAK" were gonna have warmth and sunshine! We had a doozy of a sleet/snow storm on Tuesday.

And Never Assume that you can read other peoples minds. Just because you think you might know what someone would want doesn't mean your right.
Lesson learned this week.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER

I've only given blood once and that was in high school. Everyone thought I looked dead afterwords, lol.
Yeah, it's best not to assume things. Always good to find out for sure ;)

Hey mom, sorry that you weren't able to donate. I once went through the whole "question and pricking" and they said that I was anemic too! But they just sent me to the table with sweets and other things. Didn't look like there was anything there with iron in it, but I ate. Then an hour later, They pricked again and I was good to go! Hmmm go figure.
Our branch had a blood drive two weekends ago, and I was fine.

But you're right, never assume!

See you soon!
